OK...Day 4...have your co-workers picked up on the fact that you are three=piecing all week? And if you crack out one more tomorrow, does that mean you have FIVE vested suits? That could be a SF record.

Wednesday security guard with a twist. (I realise the thin ice I'm treading with a crested blazer but at least I do 'belong'!):

Acrid, I like the overall look, but as it is, the shirt collar looks a bit wimpy. Try it next time with an OCBD in cream or light blue and see how it turns out.

Not my style, Spoo, and it shouldn't work, but I like it a lot. :fistbump:

Love that suit, Mike. I'd like to see it again, but with a shirt that doesn't echo the stripes of the suit - if a pattern, perhaps a small muted gingham. Reference %'s pics from today: he's got patterns everywhere, but of differing scales & patterns.

I sincerely doubt that my supply of three-piece suits would set any SF record, considering the number of members out there, and their potential for sartorial excess, but, for the record, I have seven (well, eight, actually, but one is fast on its way to the charity shop - even with alterations, the jacket shoulders are too large for my current size, and the jacket is far too long).

As for my co-workers, they have become so inured to my sartorial excesses that whatever I wear has become, in essence, "background noise" - no one has remarked on the string of three-piece suits so far this week. :satisfied:

I would appreciate your comment on fit. There was a previous comment on my jackets being too long. I am 6 foot, so I thought I should be a long. This is a 42 regular. Should I got for this fit on my other jackets?
    Brioni jackst
    Hermes shirt
    Ferragamo scarf
Lanificio di tollegno super 100 dark grey pants
    Garvatti croc shoes.
    Thanks.

Not many men can pull that kind of scarf. I couldn't and neither can you IMO. How about switching to lighter pants and ditching the scarf? The jacket length looks right to me as it covers your seat and not much more.

I'm not an old pro here, but I think both that length and buttoning point look loads better than any other jacket I've seen you in. I'd definitely recommend continuing that way in the future. :nodding: (Still don't like that much break in your trou, though.)

I think the length is good. I'm 6'2" and am wearing regulars and not longs for the last few years. I think longer jackets make guys our age look a bit older so the shorter look, but not too short, is positive.

But along with a shorter jacket, pants need to be trim as well for the best overall look.

Can I get you to roll the scarf a little more and go for a smallish knot. Avoid an ascot look. You don't want it to be so high on your neck and button another button on the shirt.

I'm an inch or two taller than you and still go with regulars pretty often, but it depends heavily on the maker. I typically look for a BOC measurement ~31.5"...the problem with the regulars I buy that are this length is that the buttoning point is usually too high...but I find that ends up being better than getting a long, which can be too long (Kiton for instance makes their longs in the neighborhood of 33" BOC)...in part for this reason I'm starting a couple of bespoke projects now.

Jacket length is perfect. The sleeves could actually be a bit shorter -probably about 1/2' (should hit just at your wrist bone while you are in the 'robo pose').

I am about 6' 2" and I have gangly ape arms and long legs (short torso) so when a jacket fits me well length wise it also appears slightly short because of where the hem lines up with my hands.

I suspect/hope he meant why bother trying to compete with you.

You're consistently dapper, not all of your looks are to my taste (although that's no reliable benchmark) but there's no denying the care, attention and enviable results you achieve.

    Chin up Squire!

PT: I think that jacket is one of the nicest I've seen you in. Both in terms of fit and look.

Contrary to what Jamesgatz think I reckon you can pull of a scarf, although I would have chosen another outfit to use it with.

I think you have the right color, but if you are going to keep your shirt buttoned that low: switch the gold scarf to a gold chain.
