Why you think the shoes don't work? Do you not wear cutaway/spread collars (not sure of the correct name of it).


That color was too light for the suit, it needed something darker. Black even. I wore a cutaway collar today. Go back a few pages.

I think the Tom Ford shoulder is too assertive and will look dated soon. Although I like the fabrics selections very much I think you look best in a more natural shoulder.

I have pretty broad shoulders naturally, so this sharp shoulder is not too much of a stretch for me. Although, lately I have been appreciating a completely natural shoulder. Probably because I have broad shoulders. :laugh:

I imagine it mostly has to do with the material. A good tie will give a good knot. It looks like the last picture is a double FIH, guessing the tie was a bit thinner, maybe unlined.

The last one was a Marinella, fully lined. But those ties consistently give good knot.
