    Today I depart
From my normal mode of dress
    Japan makes nice suits.

    It you are distant
    It appears solid grey;
    Closer, subtle stripes.

    In this photogaph
My pants look like they're too long
    Then I hiked them up.

    Also my coat sleeves
Are a bit short for my taste
    Needs alterations.

    I also cheated
    Because the shirt I'm wearing
    Is a non-iron.

This is my first WAYWRN post (new to SF). I'm a year out of grad school and I'm slowly trying to upgrade my wardrobe. I don't have a pic of the shoes I'm wearing - they're AE Maxfields in chili.

Agreed. Is this coat a bit tight in the chest Spoo? Or is the bowing an effect of the cut?

    The color combos look swell.

That is one of your better graph paper shirts luft, I really don't like the ones with thin lines.

    Nice tie too.

Suit is a bit on the "straight/angular" side.

Thanks. I have another with really small red checks that I liked when I bought it, but I feel I always struggle with making it work in the context of a full look.

Thanks, I see you echoed similar today too. The jacket is a bit tight - I had it tailored at my smallest... been porking up a bit lately.

Got my suit back today, had the sides taken in and the sleeves slimmed. I think having the sleeves slimmed makes them stick to my arms a little more so they look shorter than before. Either that, or my new shirt is too long. edit: yeah too long Still, better than before.

Eason, to my eye it looks too short as a whole - the rise on the pants, the length of the pants, the sleeves, and the jacket. Was it intentionally meant to be that way - a la Thom Browne?

Yeah, shorter rise, more cuff, shorter jacket. Still, not crazy short.

Thanks, these are coming along nicely. Probably the most comfortable shoes I own as well. Im getting a small tear in the back of them though, which is making me a little sad. I rushed a tree into them one of the last times I wore it, and didnt realize the leather on the heel was folded under into the back of the tree. :fu:

Now that Ive been trained to look for certain issues on myself, I can see them in others

AS - that jacket looks like its way too big on your neck.

Is it an accident the word "WIN" is coming out of your ear? :)
