I'd have to see you in person or a picture of how extended the shoulders. I don't know what size you are, looking at the pic I am guessing you have a 100-105 cm chest and 44-47 cm shoulders. I would stick with 9.5-10cm lapels. The other thing though, is that if you are keeping the roped shoulders, I would go with straight lapel points as opposed to the rounded ones, I think that is more coherent with those shoulders. I think your rounded lapels would look good with natural shoulder/unconstructed type jackets.
can I chime in with a question? Is there a general proportion that has been classically followed on the gorge? That is, the point of the gorge is at the collar bone or some such?

Good guessing - my chest is 104 cm, and point-to-point (my tailor measures both that and the distance between collar felt and sleeve cap) is roughly 45 cm, though sometimes I ask for some extra back ease. Problem is that my hips are 109 cm, and I think some extension (there's almost none right now) would help proportions.

In next commissions with this tailor (if they happen) I might skip the roped sleeve caps, so if there are no options besides rounded lapels it could be less of an issue.

Here's a robopose (I'm thinking a bit less waist shape + shoulder extension would help with the "pearness"), plus a crappy self-foof of what I think it would look like with extended shoulders, front balance fixed, looser waist and less rounded, slightly more closed quarters:

I like the top half of the jacket, but I feel something's very wrong with the bottom - could be just the long front balance issue.

no need to my man. my skin is far too thick to be bothered by someone making fun of my tacky lapel pin. I'm used to getting ****...you'll get used to it too.:nodding:
