Thanks! I hope it won't change your favorable opinion, but the tie is navy.

Speaking of knits, they have become my go-to ties for travel. I'll be on the road this week, and I'm taking just my black and brown knits.

^ nice tie; is it an especially long / wide tie?

@eviltimeban long yes, but not particularly wide... it's 3.5ish. The close-up pics show the width much better.

It seems a lot of people over there are getting in touch with their inner 'Butler' ...

Chances are they'd be more likely to blog angrily about it than hit you, if that's any consolation.

May not be everyone's cup of tea. It was quite windy, so the pants are our of control.

Top half isn't working for my eyes. Maybe a less busy shirt? Doesn't need to be a solid, though.

Like the pants. May be a less dark shoes and a plain shirt could match better, but I like that.

I can see that. The pattern might be too bold to wear with a sport coat. I originally designed that shirt to wear sans jacket.

The shirt and trouser combo would work better without the jacket, or with a jacket in a stronger/darker color - a navy blazer could balance the boldness of the check and the orange trousers, but not the very neutral color of the jacket you wore. My $.02 cents, at least.

I agree. The shirt was not the best choice.

Most of my stuff is from Boglioli, including this one.
