You are a normal individual. My experience was more like, "meh, this is kind of what I expected. Having a martini is a lot less work, and sometimes more satisfying."

Thanks! It's a wool/cashmere Don Gil...it was a men's store chain until it went bust a few years ago. Sold high-end labels mostly, with a healthy dose of their house brand. I have yet to figure out who made for them due to their German-only tags.

My initial reaction was "Yikes!" But, I am compelled to like this. Certainly, your students must look forward to each new day to see what "Mister Acute" is wearing! You have mastered the art of extreme dapper dressing. You make it work.

I'd like to give it thumbs, but it's just too dull. Plain pants? For shame!

    ;)

Is the dislike of the shirt a scale thing? The scale looks similar to the size of the check on the jacket, right?

well, its a number of things.

    1. i dont particularly like the shirt, but that could very well be personal preference.

    2. even if i did, i think its too casual for that fit.

    3. even if you want to dress that shirt up, i think its way too busy with everything else that is going on there. scale being one thing, but just in general its too much going on imho.

    is good.

Actually, if there's a scale issue here most would say it involves the tie and the SC, I think, viz.:

It makes the combination look busier than the parts would if taken individually.

I'm not deeply bothered by it (others might be), but it's certainly not 'classic'.

I'm sure AAS is aware of all this and the effect is intentional.

    Cheers,

    Ac
