I actually gave the thumb before I read this. :)

It really is good though I would prefer a slightly bigger tie knot with this shirt collar. Maybe a DFIH?

Yet another grey and dull fit from Scandinavia. Given the grey and dull weather we have been experiencing this winter, it kind of makes sense. We had a total of 7 (!) sun hours (light intensity > 20k lux) in february (compared to an average of 73 hours in a normal year). I actually don't remember what clear blue skies looks like anymore.....

Yes, about that...so I've been working 7 days a week for the last month, working until like 2 am and getting ready for our annual audit.
So today the auditors were supposed to show up TODAY but then a freaking monster snow storm comes out of no where.
And I am angry because they decided not to come in after all the work that we put in and on and on my complaint goes.
I have only slept for only 3 to 4 hours in the last month.
    LOVELY.

Oh yeah, I fixed the knot after seeing it in the picture.
You are definitely right on the knot.
    Good eyes.[IMG]

plus one. a great fit, but considering its not a suit, you could use more contrast between pants and jacket.

    most excellent, pingson and crusty.

Long time, no post. Pents are grey flannel twill.

    Cheers everyone!

I like the tie Clags. But not with that jacket for some reason.

It's one of my favorite ties. Wool-linen-cotton from Howard Yount. I don't think I've ever had a tie with such a distinctive feel.

@Claghorn , I think this is the scale idea that @GMMcL was telling me about the other day. The width of the wide stripe on the tie is similar to the width of the check in the SC. I like them both, but not together.

Tried something different today since I was without a tie. Not really sure I was successful, but it was fairly casual. Poor photography free of charge.

I love the tie plus the idea of the fabric mix.
Talking about the spacing/pattern theory, it's not the width of the wide stripe but the spacing of the thin stripe being similar to the check spacing (and stripe width) of the jacket that could(!) possibly lead to that pattern match feeling. From mid distance the jacket check will dissolve. In my gut it would work possibly "better" (read: when only the best is good enough, and we don't expect anything but the best from clags) if the shirt was less saturated, nearly light dove grey. In my eyes the shirt/jacket saturation is close. But then maybe a case of camera or monitor settings.

I don't think a white belt n00b is allow to critique a 4th degree black belt master. [IMG]
