Thanks! It's 7.5in but I prefer 8 as I find it sits on the shoe better so I'll change that measurement on my next one.

Am sure I posted this combo before, but this is what I have on today. Love this tie, from Richard James. Pictures are a bit rushed - as you can tell from my blurry hand! [IMG] [IMG]

The "jaunty" cap angle is always a winner.

    Tie is lovely.

Spandex - understated and very pleasant. Like the tie and shoes a lot - where's the tie from?

Crusty - very smooth today. A lesson in tie/PS combining. That's an especially nice suit and the coat is wonderful. I can't see from the pic but is is a heavy herringbone? The colour's lovely; nice change from the standard winter blues and greys.

Thank you, gentlemen. Mimo, in answer to your question, yes, the fabric is a heavy herringbone, and yes, it's good to wear an earth tone every once in a while in the cold season.

Lovely as always Pingson. I managed to catch a ray of sunshine today. Wearing one of my new grenadines from Exquisite Trimmings for the first time...

I was in two minds myself. For clarity, given the poor lighting, the trousers were a mottled mid-grey and the jacket had a dark chocolate brown background. What do others feel about that combination? Technically, I suppose it should be fairly classic... but I never quite feel that way when I see it on myself. Thoughts?

Following up the turtles last Friday, some more cartoon tie action. Seals & bunnies this time. Not typical playmates, you'd think...

Gross as hell out in boston today, so I'm wearing shit-kicker boots that have been doused in obenaufs. Pants and tie are navy.
