Since I'm 5'8", the rise will likely not be an issue for me. Given the price differential, I think I may begin with a pair of Howard Yount's. I can't wait to make my first purchase!

Just got the jacket back from alterations. I need to take it back today since its a little tight in the back when I cross my arms. The fit is definitely improved though! Pants are navy and too hard to photograph. The sweater is purple.

The shoulders look a little off in the second picture but fine in the others. I think it's a result of the back being too tight. It's pulling everything together.

The exposure on the Nexus 4 camera on is tough to get right...

I don't think I would buy the tie if I saw it at the store, but I really like it in the context of the fit.

But if I may be so bold: I think your beard is bordering on being a bit too scraggly for a clean look with such a nice suit.

Don, that looks really great. Just one thought: you have pretty straight, square shoulders, which is a good thing. But it also means that you don't need a lot of padding. Maybe you could investigate with your tailor whether you could soften things a touch, with your jackets in general? If the padding is in layers inside, as is often the case, removing one can make a big difference. But really, that's a really great fit, a lovely jacket, and those trousers are a perfect cut for you.

    ETB, the coat, dammit.

RTC, maybe that's what is making the skirts look wide too. Anyway, fit aside, I actually like that a lot. The bow tie is quirky, very you, and the soft tones of everything are very much in tune. Individual, but tasteful. Well played.

This is the thickest sweater I can get under this. On the other jacket I just got back, a thicker sweater made me hear a 'rip' sound when I crossed my arms. I think it needs to be let out an inch or so. The jacket also bellows out like a skirt if I cross my arms at all.

I'm not totally sure on fit in general, so I'd be totally open to what I should/shouldn't expect.

Yeah I must get that coat over to you... I think the postage will work out at around $1000 so you can send me that first if you like... [IMG]

As for the beard, well I sort of like the contrast between big beards and good fits... you can't see the rest of me though to put it into context. Really, its not that untidy! [IMG] (PS thanks for the tie comment)

The tie is humorous, but within the jacket.

My $ .02 : colours are way better than your recent outfits, but the SC's fit isn't.

Dunno, ask Lapo. Also, I'm warning you guys: be ready for a SuitSupply San Diego next week, it's on its way to Italy from the NL outlet. Its lapels are so wide that I'll just walk the entire day in Milan hoping to find Lapo

and ask him "What are those skinny lapels, are you in a boyband or what?"

    Anyways, casual Friday.

    A rainy miserable day today.

I've worn the jacket and tie together on here with chocolate flannels and someone suggested a lighter pair of strides.

Loving everything but the pants. Maybe its my distaste for them in general though.

Plain grey sweater, sure. That tie and argyle sweater....not feeling it.

That sportcoat makes up for the rainy day![IMG]

The Friday Challenge is something Christmas-y. This is as much as I can do in that mode on short notice - I'm out of reindeer sweaters .

SC, shirt, tie, trousers, PS, socks and shoes - all BB.
