1000

Suit: Herringbone Sydney
Shirt: Henry Carter light blue check
Tie: Henry Carter orange knit
PS: Random blue/white paisley
Shoes: Carmina Brown captoe (not seen)

On one of the fits you posted the other day, I suggested wearing a PS. With this fit, I think the orange is already very dominant, so I wouldnt even bother with a PS.
The orange is very orange as well, does it only appear that way due to lighting?

No the orange is about right colour wise, it's a fairly bright orange, exactly as I wanted it. The first run I did a few months ago sold out in 3 days, so it's been popular to say the least. If the suit was lighter, say a mid grey then I'd do away with the PS, but I think in this case it helps break up the mass of blue. In winter, I'll do a darker orange/rust for something a bit darker anyway.

That orange tie is on my wish list for summer.

"Beautiful Jacket" but that tie is not cutting it, way to distracting!

I disagree with the tie being too distracting...I find it rather subdued. However, the square and the tie are completely ad odds with each other here. Tie is dark and somber, while the square is Easter colors. I do agree that the jacket is gorgeous though, and covet it...greatly

BURN THE TIE!

great jacket. suit or SC?

haha, I knew the tie would divide the audience :) I love it. it's become one of my favorite ones. I do agree the pocket square was not a wise choice but damn I didn't find a good use for that Rubinacci one.

It's a suit actually. I'm truly fond of it. I couldn't get a full picture since the bathroom wasn't really convenient to take a full picture and I didn't want to climb on the sink to take a full picture, other employees might have misinterpreted my position...

Any idea of what I might wear the PS with? Any piece of advice would be greatly appreciated !

Okay, so a few of you are going to hate this suit. The fabric is a seriously FU heavy tweed (from Dashing tweeds). The cut is unapologetically British, with firm shoulders and a nipped waist. And it's a three-piece, with high-waisted trousers. I wish I could get a better picture because it's worth it, but I'm rarely at home when there's enough light to take a picture outside, plus there's a foot of snow on the ground right now anyway... so for now, you just get this. I love it and it's perfect for this weather.

As soon as I saw it I knew it must be Dashing Tweed. I've occasionally been featured in Guy's promotions; a top bloke. Keep flying the flag!

If anyone is into, or looking for an interesting flat cap check his stuff out. Something not mentioned is that Guy weaves his own textiles and has 3M scotchlite reflective material woven in, so for cyclists you're a little more visible. Little wrong with two wheeled sartorialism.

I was just about to comment on the PS. The rest is fantastic so leave it at home.

It is a true masterpiece of a PS but very hard to wear. Maybe in spring with lighter colored jackets?

I had the same thought. I'd have gone with yesterday's dark brown shoes, but don't want to wear them 2 days in a row... my shoe rotation is severely limited

I hear you on that one. I'm away from Dubai for several months and I brought a limited quantity of shoes with me, so it make it very difficult. lol

That's a very negative attitude - even if you're not in a good market for shoes, I'm sure DHL can reach you with new purchases from time to time! Where are you?

Sorry for the meh bathroom picture. Angle makes the jacket look top heavy, sorry about that. Cashmere jumper over new flannel SC. It is a little snug in the waist, going to let it out. Otherwise, i really like it!

Pretty coat! You look very sporting and prep pairing the coat with that blue crewneck.
