It's a DB, but an extremely casual one. Anyways, the place I work at is full of people in suits, so even as the IT techie, I don't look out of place no matter what I wear.
A tie gets stolen by being located inside a stolen briefcase. Unfortunately it wasn't the only thing that got robbed [IMG]

Timo, not feelin' that tie... spots look a bit too big and dense.

Lucky. I'm surrounded by people not in suits. Not even in polos. And the ones that try to look nice look like they forgot to hem their pants.

Great, though I'm not generally a fan of pencil stripe shirts. I think a cream shirt would also have been awesome here.

Pretty casual start to the week:

Thanks. It's a tough shirt to choose a tie for. Pattern's both casual and a tricky scale, so the tie has to be both solid and casual to cope with that. That kind of narrows it down to a knit, especially given how casual everything else in the fit is and the slimness of hte jacket lapels. Burgundy or chocolate brown knit would have been better (probably with different colour shoes with those options), but I don't have either of those... Actually I only have two knits, total. Don't even have a navy one at the moment.

Yeah, I don't have a problem with a knit so much as I do with it's color. I agree on the burgundy or chocolate idea. As I said though, love everything else. Well done.

Which, on the jacket? They are mother of pearl. I pulled them off an old jacket and swapped out the boring ones on this vintage jacket. Personally I like the look, but its not For everyone.

I really believe this jacket would serve you best if you went completely casual with it

Do you mean swapping the trousers for something more casual? I've got some washed linen chinos in several colors...

I'd like to keep wearing it with ties, although knits only.

While my mentor sleeps (Claghorn), I go against all his advices and sneak this in for before I enlist in his program.

I like it. Not bad. I might have gone with a cream colored silk square. One of your better looks IMO.

how are a knit tie, a button down shirt and loafers not casual? [IMG]

I agree with the fact it's an extremely casual jacket, but unstructured is about as structured as I'd prefer to go for summer, while still wearing ties...

I will probably also wear it without a tie often, I wonder if this same BD + chinos will do the trick.

That's what I was wondering since he said it. The only other thing that could be more casual is having some beige/cream chinos.

I promise you I don't think he wasn't saying a cream colored silk square would have been good with that. He was talking to RDiaz.
