Don't think I've ever seen you in monks before, looks very good. I prefer you in ties rather than bowties though.

Tira, good look. What you're usually running in looks better on you imo.
Derek and Clap, how the hell do you get that kind of hair? I just gave up and shaved mine off.

Is that a Half Windsor, or just a particularly triangular four-in-hand? If so out of character for you, no?

Especially if you wore it with a button-down!

I have rather a large collection of monks, as it happens - may feature them tomorrow as well, in fact. As for bow ties vs. FIH, I think that I look better with FIH as well, but, for the summer, and as a remedial reminder as to how to tie a bow tie, should I be invited to a black-tie affair, I sport them.

Judging by the top picture, this suit fits you perfectly! Sheesh, I wish I was still slim. It seems like only yesterday when I was a 38R......:embar: Good luck with your line of ties!

    A couple quick thoughts:

    Love the shirt/pants combo.
Belt would be better matching the shoes, which are awesome. The belt is just way too casual for the rest of the fit in my estimation.
Pants could be hemmed a touch, lots of stacking going on here.
    Lawn needs a good clipping.
    Beard is epic.

No, it's what I've seen called a "skinny knot" or a "simple knot." Sort of like a Pratt, but without the extra loop around. This tie is a vintage BB one that is oddly wide and short, and this is the only knot I could use to get enough length on the front blade.

    thanks, B.

    thank you, IC.

    me too.
probably, but i hadnt worn this belt in a while and wanted to bust it out. i need a nice, yet casual, tan leather belt.
they are just sitting low. trust. plus, they are casual and i like more break on my chinos than on my dress trou. but really, they actually have less break than id like when they are sitting properly on my waist.
    yep yep
    damn straight it is.

Hmmm, interesting. Although Stitches is sporting a very nice pair of shoes, I'm at a loss as to what makes this a great look....

Claghorn, I really like the color and drape of the material on that suit. I've been looking for suit that color for awhile now.

@claghorn: I miss a focal point. The eye has nothing to rest on since there is no contrast. A dark tie would be an easy fix I think.

Duly noted. I was, as I took pictures, thinking about what it would look like with a black grenadine (ceterus paeribus)
