You can special order up to a 38 as long as they have fabric available...although they would be final sale, so you'd be taking a shot in the dark if you're not familiar with the fit.

Nice pliny, must admit I'm a big fan of brown and camel mixed together. A bit summery though even for up North where you are no? Isn't it bucketing down up there?

    Discussion at our house:

    Wife: You're wearing that?

    Me: Yes, what's wrong?

    Wife: It's a white suit.

Me: It's cream. Anyway, lots of people wear white suits.

    Wife: Like who?

Me: Tom Wolfe, Prince Charles . . .

    Wife: Colonel Sanders.

Me: Are you saying I look like Colonel Sanders?

Wife: No, but you could pass as Colonel Sanders' bodyguard.

    Dupioni silk suit: Chan

    Cotton shirt: Jos A Bank

    Silk Tie: Brioni

Whiskey and Mahogany saddle shoes: Alden of Carmel

    Whiskey cordovan belt: Ben silver

I think you pull it off, Kai. Maybe a tie that stands out a bit more (the tannish color of it washes out a bit to me with the suit)?

Wore this to a photo show this evening. Probably not super SF approved, given the massive mismatch in formality between the shirt and everything else, which I think still looks good. Any feedback is welcome.

Kai nice look. u'd need a tash n goatee to look like the Colonel IMO. Hows the Dupioni feel? HRH wears it quite a bit when he's visiting the colonies, but a lot of peeps say it wears warm.

It was over 100 degrees. Suit was pretty comfortable considering the temperatures. Probably warmer than open weave linen, but no worse than lightweight tropical wool.

It's the very first of Alden of Carmel's "fan" shoes. AF-1

I bought them many years ago. My first pair of cordovan shoes.

Do you know what weight it is, and who makes the material? It looks great. I don't know if I could do the full white suit (given my habits of eating pizza and sitting on the ground), but dupioni is really beautiful material.

No idea what weight this is.

Cool, thanks. Chan only makes up suits from cloth they keep in stock, right?

Don't know. Probably, considering that many of their suits are quick turnaround.

I bought this suit something like 10+ years ago, so who knows what they have in stock now.
