Thanks gents. Crusty, your eyes do not deceive - that is a contrast colour button down. It is made by Eton. I picked up two of them at last year's boxing day sale (the second even more, um, out there...) at a local premium menswear outlet. Eton's contemporary fit shirts just happen to fit me like they were custom made, so they dominate my wardrobe. Most are a good deal more subdued, though.

Augustus - that's just a slender fine mesh bracelet - probably doesn't qualify as a dive bracelet - but I like it a change of pace for the summer months.

SB, that better be a suit, because that fabric and pattern are all wrong for a SC. would be utter crap.

Somewhat scruffy on Thursday & I play a polymerisation card to merge my rustic beast with my formal monster to summon Friday's ultimate fit*:

Today. Not much to say. Tried out a shirt with a contrasting point collar. Nope to both, I think. Any combination advice would be great.

YRR92: my observation would that the particular collar is pretty bad, and not to let it condemn anything. Wear a well executed, well fitting example before you decide against.

Oh, and burn that one unless adjusting it works miracles.

Ehh, I don't think I'll have much of a chance to try a well-fitting one. I'm hardly ever in a suit, and I'm not going to put the money into getting a nicer contrast-collar shirt any time soon.

I like the cloth. I'll roll up the sleeves and print photos in it or something.

This was supposed to be a candid shot for our work facebook picture. Again due to hand in pocket jacket is pulling but the jacket fits like a champ!

As they often say here, you are probably dressed 90% better than anyone else around you, BUT...
The shirt is too big for you in the collar, don't ever match the shirt and pocket square. The skinny jacket lapels and wierd embroidery on the jacket pocket may be tacky fashion but not at all stylish. The jacket sleeves and shoulder's .. well I will just say that the right sleeve appears too tight around your fore arm, the left sleeve looks as if it has 5cm of padding in a lump above your natural shoulder..

My advice: burn the jacket, shirt and PS. Then get a shirt and jacket that fit you.

Tip: Don't stand in front of your wall tiles while posing for a pic wearing that shirt or PS because you blend right in and that's not so cool.

A friend's kid's first birthday. They are big deals here and require monetary gifts, in this case $150 (family members give in the thousands). Money for first birthdays and funerals is still something I'm getting used to.

Sorry for the terrible photo. And yes, that's a suit with no tie :stirpot:
