The outfit is terrible from a classic menswear point of view, that has to be said. But the lapels are exactly the same I have on my blazer, so perhaps they use the same patterns...

Some stuff on their blog is actually rather nice.

Maybe I'm just seeing things, but your's looks like similar to his (btw, this particular one has shirt sleeves shoulders) to me, impressive for MTM. Soon I'll post some of mine for comparisons, though mine are bespoke.

That guy is pulling out all the stops. Jacket sleeve buttons undone and sleeves rolled back, two toned shirt with french cuffs...

I think he pulls it off though. At least it looks like it fits good. [IMG]

I will wear my pocket square just like that next time I go out! [IMG]

My office at work, where I take most pictures, just doesn't allow me to take full-size pictures - it's too small (I say increase spending on higher education so I can get a bigger office :smarmy: )

Anyway, just for you Sticthy I snapped a (horribly crappy) iPhone photo when I got home so you can see top and bottom in one pic

I think what you're seeing is just two similar physiques, which leads to the silhouette looking somewhat similar. I wish mine looked as good as his, but thanks for the compliment [IMG]

The high contrast made today's ensemble rather hard to capture, but anyways:

I really need to get a lighter blue DB blazer made. This is way too dark.

After looking at their website and seeing it, I like the way your devious mind works. [IMG]

All these interesting-looking Suit Supply outfits are making me likely to try to find the time to pop into one of their shops in London next time I'm there, at least to see whether the fit works on me. I'm not generally a fan of overly short or tight outfits, but going by the size measurements the I wonder if maybe their regular length in their DB cut might just work out fine. I don't know when I'll next have to go to London (it's not really my favourite place to be), but I'll try to fit in a brief side-trip to one of their shops to try on items in person.

This is something I've always wondered ever since seeing American tourists for the first time when I was little: why do North-Americans wear running shoes under outfits that are not meant for running?

This is not meant as a critique of your outfit, but more as an honest question.

Thanks for the feedback. It is a 6x2 buttoned unconventionally, because I hate the high button stance. Strains a bit because it'd need a bit more cloth at the hips to be buttoned like that. I probably shouldn't have bought the jacket due to the high buttoning point, but I got carried away because it's so rare to find a RTW DB around here. If I get one made, I'd ask for 6x2 buttoning with wider lapels and a lower stance [IMG]

    Thanks :)

I am not an apologist of this "style" but I think mainly because it is quite comfy )

P.S. In fact I've seen a lot of parisien wearing sneakers or keds with jackets or coats, so it is not just North American "style" )
