    the new suit
looks almost like a solid navy from a distance
then looks like a windowpane at medium distance
and then you can see the glen plaid closer up

i had the purple tie on all day ... pic was taken at about 8:30pm so i took off the tie by then

Romeo I really like the suit. I am actually looking for a fabric similar to that for my next MTM suit.

FU jacket + cords. No idea what PS to use. Maybe just at plain white?

RogerP, you look sharp. The tie is not really my cuppa, but it's not in bad taste. The big question, though: [IMG]

This is a stupendous first post. I assume you've been lurking for a long time.

    Those Vass look good.

Tell us more about the cuff links. Are they double sided?

Do you have extra long arms or is that jacket cut really short (or both)?

We have a party for a colleague today, so I am feeling saucy in my lovely new Borsalino purple cashmere knit tie (courtesy of the honorable member, StockwellDay - thanks!) and 3-piece bespoke Dashing Tweeds suit (as seen before, so boring, I know...). Shirt is Dunhill. Hair is how I woke up today.

Seems like spring just won't come this year, temps here are still in the double digits below zero (C!). At least I have a good reason to wear flannel :D

Thanks Kent. Sugarbutch - this is one my first MTM suits, from several years ago. Back then I was "take it or leave it" on the cuffs question. All of my more recent suits and dress pants are now cuffed.

Here you go my man. I could go on forever about this watch - had to part with some good pieces to bring it home - but I'll just let the pics speak:

The cufflinks in question are sterling silver, with a bronze coating on the face of them. The design is derived from medieval Spanish motifs, I believe associated with heraldic shields. The links are not double-sided - they're a stud back, with a silver ball on the back side. With all Met cufflinks, they're made in limited quantities, and once the design is sold out, they're not re-issued, generally.
