    First, I hope your interview went well.

    Second, the suit seems quite nice.

    Third, that tie knot seems a bit big for the collar.

    Fourth, I hope you land that job.

    Bought these pants a month ago and they are too big at the waist and hips already. I love losing weight, but my wallet hates it.
    The jacket needs heavy slimming as well...

    Jacket, shirt, trousers = Emidio Tucci
    Tie = Drake's
    PS = Cappelli
    Shoes = Magnanni
    Belt = Miguel Bellido

    (btw, not looking for fit feedback, just sharing the outfit and pointing that out because trousers look baggy even with this pose)

    Today I actually have a reason to dress up, as I'm acting as a chairman for a public thesis defense. So I'm going full-in with a three-piece suit and my favourite Marinella tie.

    The Friday before a long weekend, and not a moment too soon. Something new in the mix - haven't worn this suit since the spring . . .

    Suit - BB Fitzgerald
    Shirt - Thomas Pink
    Tie - Hackett
    Cufflinks - Tyrwhitt
    Shoes - Bergdorf Goodman house brand

    I like everything and I am going to be picky on one thing because clearly the basics are no problem. You seem to have managed to mangle your Marinella. It's good to have a dimple, but you've got a full-blown chasm, and is that a double FiH? The knot looks overly long and rectangular at least from this angle.

    Aaaannnnd this morning... had to resort to bathroom pics until I figure out a spot in the office. I'm up too early before the sun and I get home when it's already dark so no bueno with pics at home.

    I agree that it looks rather mangled in that picture and I very much appreciate the comments. Looking down it now looks ok (yea it's a double FIH btw, only works for me when I wear a vest). So I think it is caused by me standing in an awkward position when trying to take a photo of myself. But I also agree that I sometimes struggle tying nice knots .... :embar:

    "The striped shirt makes this a home run. The solid tie pulls all the details together. Excellent!"

    Anden
    "Care to share how many suits are in your stable?"

    RDiaz
    "I love the shirt, upr. Everything works pretty well together."

    Thank you, gentlemen. The shirt was acquired several years ago in the duty-free Pink shop at Heathrow. As for the current stable of suits, I believe that the count now stands at 26, though I may de-accession a few, and I've an appointment at Brooks Bros. made-to-measure next Friday for a new double-breasted suit - most likely navy.

    Wow, the WAYWRN thread really stepped up today. Here are some crappy instagrams of my outfit today. The sleeves of the SC are not short BTW, even if they do appear to be in these pics. The shirt sleeves are a bit on the long side though.

    Loving the material and color on this coat. Hooray, for the bow tie!

    Yes. I stand by what I said months ago. I think you look better, and look more at home, in a double-breasted jacket.
