re: the pink, I did say the sun went to my head... ;)

I don't love it, but man, is it distinctive!

I have one of those too; they're the best...

I just assumed it was a homage to the French Connection UK... :)

Leaving embroidered profanity aside (a shame to do so, but still), there's a more general potential discussion point about MC attitude here if the joke has a kernel of truth. What is the optimum level of obsessionality about the minutiae of fit/detail? Perfection is obviously impossible, so how much should one strive to get close to it? How do you measure it, and who are you really trying to please at that stage? How much of the potential viewing audience's opinion are you interested in? If it's about a general audience, you only need modestly well-fitting things to appear well-dressed by comparison to the lower average. Is it really just about satisying yourself beyond this point?

Better question - why do you spam the forums so much? The majority of your posts are gibberish.

This is a great point HF. Perfection will never be reached...some can come close, but never perfect all the time. its a continual battle of sorts....and perfection is only in the eye of the wearer i suppose. In my office, a tie is considered well dressed. a jacket and tie must mean you have an interview that day. When it gets to the great detail that we focus on here, i believe it can get a bit overboard and excessive. but i also think thats why this place can flourish...a group of dewds obsessed with details and a constant strive to better yourself...both in clothing and health & body.

no idea where DT fits in though.

i speak only for myself here, but i imagine that even though we all know that perfection is impossible for most people, we all like to think that maybe once in a while we can achieve it. as well, perfection in these areas is highly subjective. even here you will find fits that some think are indeed perfect or very close to it, and others think they are no good for one reason or another.

there are certain rules of classic mens dress that some adhere to, and others do not. being outside of those lines is sometimes enough for some to feel that a fit is not perfect, despite how good it may look. others feel that the rules are meant to be bent, and are more of a general guideline than a strict set of rules. whatever ones opinion, and for the most part we are all entitled to our different point of views assuming they are reasonable, there will rarely be a consensus on sartorial perfection.

as to motivation, no doubt it varies as well. sir f being one extreme example. there is certainly a rush of excitement in the hope of getting internet adulation, but i think most people earnestly want to look their best, and achieve a sense of satisfaction and pride within themselves in how they present themselves. it is a difficult task, and there is great satisfaction in its success.

those are my thoughts. thanks for bringing up the question, it is one well worth pondering and discussing i think.

look man, this has been discussed ad nauseum. no need to start with the name calling. it may surprise you, but not everyone feels the way you do, so please do not speak for anyone but yourself.

you are more than welcome to put me on ignore, like others have done, and save yourself the anguish of reading my "crappy, incessant, gibberish" posting. thats what the button is for. there is no need to go and start an internet tough guy dust up here in WAYWRN.

    peace.
