    Thanks for the advise! I agree with the shoe comment. But they were cheap and handmade and the picture really screws up the color. IRL they are more a cigar colour.
    Black shoes it is next time. The tie is dark pink not red. Any feedback on the rest?

    Great tux, Nii. Though I can't wait for the "Satan wears notch lapel tuxedos" crowd to chime in.

    Your #menswear day-time pic, however, is not winning me over. The sleeve flip and the cargos = :uhoh: That's personal preference though, I suppose.

    Yeah - i am sure :) ... if it staves off the vultures - i do own a DB tux though, but it was a technology event and i knew folks would be wearing black suits, black ties and kenneth cole square toes.

    I did however see a couple older guys who nailed it ... peak lapel, ventless, patent shoes ... the whole 9.

    I would think the derby deserves fancier shoes.
    I may be wrong. Look is alright. Nothing special. i would also substitute that bowtie with a darker one (Navy perhaps?).

    I agree Bourbon. The first look would be fine without the loose tie (Yes I understand it's a long day, but imo it's always a style coin flip) and turned up jacket sleeves (I think that's a cruel thing to do to jacket sleeves).
    A slip up. But hey we all have them . [IMG]

    Cross-posted from the CBD thread. I thought I'd get feedback here as well. Took a quick shot so I could see whether I thought the tie contrasted with the suit well enough. I think it looks good, not great. A conservatively patterned tie would have improved this for me.

    And, no, I don't like the shirt collar either. I have Chris Despos working on some shirts for me, but they aren't ready yet.

    I'm definitely not "ivy" enough to get the riddle. I looked up the answer and still didn't get it. I blame it on the language barrier and pretend it has nothing to do with my inferior intellect. [IMG]

    It's called "The Baseball Tie." Here's the breakdown:

    Clock = 5-4

    Whiskey bottle = Bottom of the fifth

    Exposed breast = One out

    Toilet = No one on

    The first fit is before my college graduation ceremony:

    I'd like to hear thoughts on the jacket as it is my first MTM project

    Robert Talbott Tie
    Samuelsohn MTM cashmere jacket
    Robert Talbott MTM cutaway collar shirt
    Seaward & Stearn square
    Peter Millar Crocodile belt
    Ralph Lauren Chino
    Allen Edmond's Kenwood loafer

    Second fit is right before going to work:

    Vineyard Vines Tie (Knots like shit but I like the pattern)
    Samuelsohn MTM cashmere jacket (third picture shows the cream with navy polka dot lining I went with)
    Rober Talbott MTM cutaway collar shirt
    Seaward & Stearn Square
    Peter Millar Crocodile belt
    Levi's 100% authentic dad jeans
    Allen Edmond's Kenwood loafer
