You need to get your hands on Bluecoat if you can find it. Best gin I've ever had.

Better than Hendricks? Better than Tanq Ten? Better than Old Raj?

Best local gin for Philadelphians, but best gin?

    Welcome back, MoK and Binge.

Nice shoes. You and PG had me really considering buying these, but I broke down and bought the Alden 403 in brown chromexcel. Chukkas just have never looked right on me for some odd reason..

Are they out already? Man I have been waiting 5 months for those.

Yes, yes, yes. Better than the limited run Dogfish Head Jin I've had as well. It's really tops.

Thanks for the kind comments, chaps.

yfyf, the cut and silhouette of your outfits are always immaculate.

I had noticed it on some photos of mine as well. When I shot photos at hip level of suits with hacking pockets, the lens distortion always made me look hip heavy.

Moreover, I remember you selling old suits of yours that were 36-38 at the largest. Generally, fat men don't fit into said sizes.

Btw, did you ever sell that blue sharkskin suit you had up so many moons ago?

No, I still have it if you are interested. PM me. I have noticed what people call "standing straight" is actually pitching back slightly. I try to avoid it but am usually not successful. I'm trying to improve my posture and the Alexander Technique seems like an interesting place to start ...

yfyf, that is such a terrific suit. I have saved the picture and hope to copycat you at some point!!

    - Awwesumze check, yfyf. I love the gold windowpane.

Peal & Co by C&J? Good job on the antiquing. Very mode!

Thanks, they're actually Edward Greens so the antiquing was their handiwork. I've become enamoured with Edward Green again. I'm trying to go for shoes with a shorter last because I've switched to buying 8.5 instead of 8. Edward Green lasts tend to be "just right" whereas C&J are sometimes a bit too stylized.

YFYF: I was reminded of this Sartorialist shot, and thought that after your Dashing Tweeds suits, you'd prefer something with more... dash.

Well remembered, I have the same photo saved. That chap is Tomoki Sukezane, a famous stylist in Japan. He's always got interesting stuff going on.

    Beautiful suit, yfyf!

    Dashing tweed?

The suit is part of the old vintage cloth stuff at WW Chan, it's by John Cooper, WW Chan made it up for me. I wanted a three piece but there was only very little left. Very pleased with it though. Need more grey suits.

    Also, welcome back MoK!

I never bothered wearing this jacket, thinking it didn't look right as a 3B and the fit was off, but I'm happy enough with how it looks here. It's a tricky shade to match well on me.

I can pass on the gin, but when it comes to unwinding time, I go with something a bit more malty.
Lagavulin 16 YO Islay SMSW. Mmmmmm
Aberlour 12 YO Highland SMSW. Double cask matured. Wow....

Neither goes well with the aroma of shoe polish, so I keep the two events just ever so slightly separated.
