I offer these tokens, not for any particular recent ensemble, but as something that any one of you may use in the future.

If you do choose to use these tokens, use them wisely.

Those shoes are killer. They are THE shoes I want for jeans.

Your tailor should be able to fix that. It's a very nice suit otherwise - I'd keep it.

Nice sweater. Unbutton the top button for some sprezz [IMG]

Looks like another person got the herringbone memo [IMG]

Really like the combination of tones & textures, %.

I really like your tie, Spoozy. And the pocket square is cool, too.

Overall, I admire your willingness to throw all sorts of things together. You certainly are not afraid to try different things, and I'm honest when I say I look forward to your posts. Obviously you have an appreciation for patterns & colors, and you should not change who you are.

But I offer you a challenge.

If you're willing to try something different, might I suggest adding one or two solid items to your wardrobe. It need not be expensive; a thrifted item will do fine. Maybe a solid shirt, since they're easier to find than a solid tie.

See how you like it. Give it a run.

This is not ask you to become boring, but rather, to play with textures, rather than patterns. It can be just as fun, interesting (and challenging) as playing with colors/patterns.

Your sport coats are awesome - they always fit you outstandingly.

I like the length of your overcoat here very much. More than others.

Props for posting while traveling. That's some OG dedication, there.

For some reason, the mutli-quote didn't work, but...@Spoo: The SC fits flawless, man. Was that untouched by your tailor? Cuz srsly it fits great.

Guess I'm late to the outerwear challenge. Ohio weather called for a rockin' awesome peacoat, though.

I love this forum. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, all (or your Monday, Aussies).

Man, that hat is awesome. By coincidence, I had rabbit for dinner. It's good to know someone is making use of the fur, too. [IMG]

    Awesome, I love rabbit.

Awesome hat!! Who is it by?

    Thanks, CrownCap.

ah that's funny - you made me laugh on a very stressy day.....more power to you.

    [IMG] Glad I could help!

digging the color combo today too. no comment on the hat [IMG]

    lol, cheers dawg.

The gunclub is from Hardy's Lambswool?

    Yes, very warm.

Your sport coats are awesome - they always fit you outstandingly.

I agree with Threadbearer, spoozy. You have some really nice items (I like the shirt and jacket especially), but the way you put them together is often kaleidoscopically surreal. And remember, that's coming from me, with my own hallucinogenically eclectic approach to colour/pattern co-ordination....

You both got a point here, no doubt. Even though my words aren´t backed up by reality, i am working on some more "solid" (on my level) pattern/colour/textures mixing.

Thx for the kind words, UC.

I totally admit that i am still in the process of developing my own style. Naturally that means constant trial and error, with a good one occasionally. I don´t necessarily think "solid" means boring, it´s just a concept i do not favor. I like mixing colours, patterns and textures but am still trying to figure out which concept (colour, pattern, textures) to focus on...right now, they´re all equal (each adds 1/3 to my fits).

I will definitely try to calm it down a bit. Today´s stuff (will be on later) is "solid" (on my level) in terms of texture and pattern, but probably not in colour...ah, you´ll see it, would like to hear your thought about this one.

I surely won´t change who i am, but advice such as yours is helpful and i definitely think about it. Maybe it´s too hard to bring out the trinity (colour, pattern, texture) perfectly matched, and i rather should focus on two of three (with the third one not trying to grab attention)...

Oh dressing, how i love thee [IMG]

Sorry for the late catchup, got drunk and fell asleep again [IMG]

^^ Spoo. What color is that jacket?

I like the amount of cuff exposure. Is it like 3/4"?

Thanks - the jacket is green with orange and red lines.

Looks great Spoo - nice jacket, coat, shoes. Well done

Cool tweed. What is going on with the shoulders?

    Mike

[IMG] what do you mean about the shoulders?

The vinyl siding on the McMansion beside you? Not so terrific.. [IMG]

Thanks gnat - and what can I do? You cant pick yer neighbors. Maybe Mr. Sam will insert something in their window one day and I can bring the picture over to them [IMG]

    Porter and Harding?

Not that I am aware of, no.

Nice monks Spoo; really good shape to them.

Thanks- they are my first monks ever - C&J Handgrade Savile. I never liked monks until these.

Good to see the Versace tie again [IMG]

Just a small nip tuck, but mostly untouched. Thank you. Awesome tie yesterday too.

Awesome Banis. You've convinced me to save a length of the "denim" for a suit.
