Some of us newer folks need a basis for comparison.

I've been here for only a year and a bit, but one thing i've noticed is that summer/spring is the low point of WAYWRN ... and i think you will note the same in your review of Vox's digest. WAYWRN really picks up in the fall when folks can experiment with layering. Heavier weight fabrics also tend to be look better.

I totally expect WAYWRN to have better fits in the fall/winter. Will be surprised if that doesnt happen.

I wasn't to begin with, but have since accepted it.

And good eye. Suit is a BB sack, custom made for some other guy in '76 who happened to have the same measurements as I. Tie is also Brooks.

How old is that BB suit? The buttonhole finishing looks absolutely superb, and unlike anything you'd see on anything except perhaps the Greenfield GF line in modern Brooks.

They look really just too tight in the thigh and have a very sharp taper, which especially combined with a visually "top heavy" outfit (ie fairly structured jacket and waist-coat), makes them look a little mis-matched. Like if you wore just the pants with a shirt and loafers, I could see it. Just a thought.

I have to say, I generally just don't "get" your looks. It's like you have decent taste in picking out various pieces, but there's just no harmony whatsoever. And I don't see the ironic sprezz or something even. I just see a mess of things thrown together with no apparent reason. Holdfast (ironically) is pretty Schitzo with his combo's, but there's generally some sort of idea i can pick up on there...
