Sarkozy is certainly the protagonist here. His lifts are a good 2-3".

Focus on making money; any confidence issues quickly self-resolve...

High heels, rugs, plastic surgery, mani/pedicures, etc for alleged males are so damn mockable

Lots of wealthy dudes are short, older, balding, socially awkward, etc...but mysteriously often have easy access to any hotties

And they make new hotties every yr, so frequent trade-ins and leases/rentals are easy...cheap commodities

Find yourself a girlfriend even shorter than you to make you seem taller. [IMG] Heck, he can even pull off the Member's Only jacket.

Svenn, how about reducing the contrast between top and bottom, and striking a pose?

I'd say double soles is a very easy option, but will only give you like 0.5 inches
Heels or Boots are another options, maybe just not every day

Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and their daughter Suri are spotted taking some time out to relax on the grass in Melbourne's Royal Botanical Gardens. The vertically challenged Tom looked taller than usual however on closer inspection he has had extra soles glued to his custom Nike tennis shoes, cool.

Tom's shoes have internal lift, either in construction or using insertable insoles. This is the way it should be done, and the lifting is beautifully concealed. The look of the shoes is right. His shoemaker definitely has skills. [IMG] I can't tell if these are shoes or ankle boots, but they were exceptionally well done. Clever too was the use of a buckle to draw the eye away from any lift concealment. In the close-up on the right it seems harder to detect the internal lifting. Look at the heel arch at the back of the shoes above the heel. It is rather long, yet the heel itself is proportionately 'normal' looking. Whoever made those shoes/boots for Mr. Cruise is a master. Even under scrutiny, these pass with flying colors (imo). Were I in need, this is exactly how I would want my shoes & boots done.

An SF-approved, iGent solution... a top hat and a cane to help you stand upright.

I agree, those probably have at least the 1.5 inches I'm looking for without making a huge gaudy heel. The only give-away if there is one is the overly long arch around the achilles' heel you described.

This wasn't funny the first time, which is why no one answered you the first time.

Those boots Tom Cruise are wearing don't look normal to me. First thing I noticed was the awkward standing-on-toes posture he has in that photo, like he was wearing high heels. I'm sure those shoes do for his ass the same thing high heels do for a woman's, giving the game away.

Seems like elevator shoes don't increase your height enough to make a real difference yet they scream "try-too-hard".

It's all about perception and inner security of a person.
