    I've only rarely seen worse.

Although the two women in my avatar would probably like it.

    It is, teh ghey!

This is true. Except for the ties, Hermes is only worn by women and gay men (also arabs).

Sorry, I forgot about pocket squares. Also, I wasn't trying to be insulting. I was just making an observation about the demographic Hermes targets - straight white men are not their market except for the ties, which are popular with investment bankers and lawyers. If you like to wear Hermes, good for you, but don't get angry if I say that the brand has a demographic profile that you don't like (who is really the one doing the insulting if you get angry because I say a brand is worn by gay people).

I say go for it! Hermès is not like Kiton, which is simply expensive. Hermès offers items of exquisite taste and beauty that are simply unavailable at a lower price point. [IMG]

I can guess why the responses have been sarcastic. Hemes is brutally expensive and is grouped into one of the marquee (like Rolex, LV) brands that has enemies here. Their use of "H" as a logo also offends the anti-logo group on here.

But still, the 'responses' here puzzle me. Hermes still generally has a excellent reputation here for quality, although harshly priced. Do you really think my question was so absurd it didn't deserve a single serious response? Do you think that was called for? Do you think you are really that far above the question?

Far be it from me to ask for advice and then ignore it, but the problem is I don't see any advice here. 18 responses and the most coherent argument is that only gay people wear Hermes -- and that's the only "argument" presented. The rest is entirely composed not of honest feedback, or even criticism, but pretentious, rude attempts at sarcasm.

What utter arrogance, masquerading as style!
