I'm off to have my hair done in a few days and am struggling to describe the style I want.

I wear my hair in a side parting anyway and want the sides and to a degree the back cut pretty short in contrast the rest of my hair as it tends to get scruffy there.

The best way i've seen this illustrated is as worn by Ralph Fiennes in Schindlers List, but obviously I don't want to take a picture of a nazi down with me when I get my hair done. Can you help me to describe this cut/tell me what I should ask for?

P.s. Cold hard killer look not wanted, just a neat haircut.

You can show the photo of this hair style to hair-cutter, but you need to use photoshop to cover the face of the people.

Why not just print the picture and take it to the stylist?
