If I had to pick a favorite season I'd probably go with Season 4. Season 1 being 1B and the other three being 1C. The first couple of episodes in each season were a little slow while they introduced the new characters and story lines, but by halfway through at least all of them were awesome. Tons of great characters too. I would have loved the show anyways, but what made is especially cool was seing a ton of my local hangouts on the show. My house (before I moved in) was used during a cut scene in Season 3 to portray one of the judges houses, and my local pub where my friends go to shoot pool was the spot that the Sun writes hung out at in Season 5.

^see thats the reason, the show was never slow for me. i remember in like one of the first couple episodes they are listening to WTOP 1500 AM on a stake out and i was like HOLY @%&#@%$!!!! they got a lot of the little baltimore details right which i thought was so awesome and got me hooked right in the beginning.

Love this montage from the season 5 dvd. It captures all five seasons perfectly.

I never realized watching the actual scene until seeing it in the montage, when it shows Omar walking towards Stringer, with his shotgun drawn, the pigeons flying, it's very reminiscent of early John Woo flicks.

This image is from a site re-examining The Wire as if it were a victorian novel. Which of course, the show has more than once been compared to.

HBO Go finally allows sharing to Apple TV, so I've started the series from the beginning. Halfway through season 2 and the worst marathon session was 8 episodes in a row. Such an amazing show.

I'm with you and just finished season 2 yesterday. Watching it on Xbox though. I really hope HBO gets its own app on the appleTV but AirPlay is a step in the right direction.

I love this show but I'm getting cross eyed on some of the characters shared with treme and I'm expecting fringe division to come in for a meet with Daniels any second now.

Halfway into season 5 and some serious BULLSHIT just happened. I don't think I've ever been this mad at TV before.
