Agreed. By April/May of next year you'll probably be ready for a new one regardless.

Also, that grey flannel is only 11/12 oz. That is a three-season fabric in DC. I would have kopped but actually don't like the blazersuit, except in much more casual forms.

patch pockets. I don't understand them, so I cannot.
They're much more fun and relaxed.

You also don't have any SC's or a blazer. From what I can tell, those have more patch pockets than suits.

That is why you don't understand, sonny...

There will never be pushback against the blazersuit. It is a brilliant.

I've slowly soured on the idea personally (I just don't love patch pockets on suits or flaps on odd jackets (except maybe a DB blazer). It is a nice idea, though.

I'm really tempted to cut the flaps off on my navy blazer. It's got patch pockets and flaps. Oy vey.

I just realized that I haven't bought a suit or SC/blazer without patch pockets for the last 2 years. OTOH, I haven't worked within a conservative business dress setting for as long.

That grey flannel Formosa suit looks awesome. I'm in the market for a grey flannel suit, but I'm not sure what to do. Luxire can replicate one of my Sartoria Partenopea suits in Minnis flannel for $900, and while I've seen some good results lately, I still doubt whether they can replicate that Neapolitan style perfectly. $900 is also nearly twice as much as I paid for my actual SP suits.

Steed MTM is about $1900, which is the cost of 2 Luxire suits, and 3 SP suits. I think the fit will be better with Steed than with Luxire, but is it worth twice as much? I'm also not sure how much I could alter with MTM when it comes to lapel shape and trouser waistband.

I could just by an SP suit, and while the jackets fit me very well, the trousers are still a bit tight in the thigh area, and the rise isn't high enough for my liking. I also want side tabs instead of belt loops and a single pleat.

Decisions, decisions....

I offered to sell my grey flannel Formosa to Noodles, but he won't budge on the patch pockets....foolish boy. I would MTO the same exact suit in a L.....he would get it at a killer price too. Maybe he will come to his senses and realize that patch pockets are the shizzle.
