I am really thinking about ordering a bunch from Sam Hober. I love their grenades. May I get a dark grey grenade tie, a hunter green grenade, and a brown neat? Please???

New to this thread but fairly experienced with Hober ties...David's grenadines are fantastic and the color and weave selection is tremendous. I am far from an the most knowledgeable, but I like the color suggestions you propose above (also like mimo's burgundy suggestion).

Oh you got that right Pinkpanther. I have 3 Sam Hober grenade ties and they're freaking awesome! I just picked two colours that I didn't like. One is RED and the other is a light grey, which I thut was going to be a dark grey.

    Get. The. Burgundy. Neat. Now.

Then by all means get a green grenadine and a brown neat. Skip the grey, you're already too grey. Try a rust or similar - Shibumi's is beautiful colour, I believe Hober has something similar, maybe more towards the burnt orange. You can carry that too. But you're drifting back into Noodles-comfort-solids. Start with the neats.

Alright, alright. I won't shy back into my cave. I'll get those two neats.
By the way, what's the avg temp where you are, MIMO? It seems pretty darn hot from what I can see in the background.

No, it's cold now. As low as 70F even in the day time, warmer in the direct sun I suppose. And chilly in the evenings - low 60s sometimes. I'm wearing JEANS and a lambswool jumper and boots.

In the summer it does get up to 120F+. I need some new light suits by then....excuses, eh?

I need some grey suits in my rotation. They're all effing navy.
I think I need to move to where you are since I hate this miserable cold weather and they're calling for 6" of snow tomorrow and that mean....oh...I don't have to go to work!!! [IMG]

Let's start with the burgundy neat. I might have mentioned it.

There is a nice simple brown neat on sale at Howard Yount, down from 85 to 55. A tad safer than the already very safe Henry Carter as the pattern is in beige, so the same color family as the tie's ground.

(I'd link, but I'm crammed on Line 2, smelling somebody's fish breath, using SF mobile. Who eats fish for breakfast?!)

What is wrong with a light grey grenadine? Seems to be a perfect pairing with a navy suit and white shirt.

I think this looks a bit silver/light greyish. This here is Sam Hober 6 fold grenade
