White jeans? If you live in Cali and wear white jeans, people will just assume you're European.

Used to have tons of jeans, but now just. Need to get two more. One in dark grey and one in dark blue.

White jeans - I have a pair that I wore on vacay.

Cream/cricket white - hmmm that sounds like an even lighter shade of khaki - right?

Given how Trump has whipped up the ignorant masses, it might well be...

Do any Noodlers here in the USA want to go in on a Drakes sale order with me? I only want to purchase one tie, but I still face a ridiculous $30 shipping fee for a 4 oz tie. Just pisses me off that they charge that much. The tie I want is $85 with the VAT discount, an okay price, but it goes up to $115 with the shipping... a lot for a non bespoke tie. (Cappelli price = $115ish)

If I can get the order up to 200 sterling, I get free shipping. Then I could ship in USPS Priority Mail flat rate envelopes for $5 each...

    Lots of great ties here

I wish you'd asked a couple weeks ago!

Which reminds me, would folks be interested in doing a small group buy from Cappelli? Same idea as jrd: get enough guys to place an order for one or two ties to qualify for free shipping and then re-ship using USPS priority. I suspect folks hold off on ordering one tie because of the €25 shipping charge, so this would be a way of reducing shipping cost. The inevitable customs bill would have to be factored into final cost. I'm not fully committed to organizing this, but I am gauging interest. And I mean small group buy, since I'm not going to repackage and ship 70 ties. If there's enough interest maybe this could be done 2-3 times a year.

Mr. Six--yes. Not too bummed if it doesn't happen, but very appreciative if it does.

Thinking I will have to move fast on this Drakes order... don't want my tie to sell out.

Get at me quickly if you want in!

I'm about 5'7.5" (171.5cm), and I just realized that my ideal BOC jacket length and my inseam length are identical. I wonder if this is the ideal "balance."

So here is a jacket I like a lot:

Note: Jacket's gotten altered since this picture was taken. Buttons changed to brown horn, shoulders, waist, etc.

What do you guys think about the pros and cons making it a full (blazer)suit?

Would a rusty brown tweed jacket only work with certain complexions?

I don't have any tailored clothing in brown, let alone a rusty brown.

What's up, Isolation. I have to give you kudos for sticking to your own style despite jerks like me criticizing. That's in the past.

But my question now is why the aggressive tapering at the waist? Do you have a narrow waist or is this more to do with your preference? I believe we heard it is the latter.

I have seen these "slim" suits with super tapered waists but I think things look proportional because their pants are also slim. You, however, seem to have jackets that are tapered at the waist but I see regular pants. Have you tried to wear slim pants to match your jackets to create a more proportional look.

    Not criticizing. Just a thought.
