Do you think the second image below is conservative enough for most environments? The first is probably safe anywhere, but I'm really not a fan of pinstripes you almost can't see. And the third is obviously what I'd like to avoid on the other extreme.

Sorry, I'm not an emoji user: I was just kidding. Though not about ESPN sending Simmons as far from ESPN and Grantland as possible!

Suit in the second image seems fine. Not loving the shirt / tie combo but figured you were not asking about that.

But, without knowing which individual environment I will find myself in a few years time, I will have to do my best to approximate.

It's nice… I like that combo. Yeah not sure on the "most environments" thing, but on the flip side I can't think of anywhere you'd wear that someone would say "why the fuck are you wearing that?" except perhaps the beach.

Dynasty is more than championships. It's a prolonged, continuous period of dominance (regular season and play-offs; not just Game 7's, where Russell was 10-0). And while dominance in the 80's and 90's might mean something compared to today, keep in mind that Russell's Celtics played in a 10 team league. Read the article; it makes a damn fine case that you'd struggle to refute.

Nope. Dynasty is championships won with a relatively consistent core group of players. That's just 538 clickbait with numbers.

I think an argument could be made that the Spurs don't even count since they've never managed to win two in a row.

I'm sorry, but if you're going to use the Z, then it has to be "rangz"

I won't hear any argument on this point. :)

I lean toward your definition of "dynasty". Perhaps 538 should have asserted that the Spurs are more dominant instead.
