I am having trouble finding a good alterations tailor in the Dallas area. I feel like I have tried all of the major players, and have come away less than impressed. Several times I have walked away with the feeling that I could have done better myself. I have referred to D magazine, and a much older thread here on the forum. I know Despos does business in Dallas, but I am in need of high quality, basic alterations, not full bespoke.

Can anyone give suggestions?

Thank you for your time.

I'd avoid Harry's at all costs. After going to Harry exclusively for nearly a hundred garments and at least 15 suit alterations, the man actually lost a complete Paul Smith suit that he was supposed to be altering for me. In spite of all the business I had done with him and the referrals I'd sent his way, he took zero responsibility for the lost suit. Glad it wasn't a Tom Ford. Regardless, it was a bit shocking to see a businessman piss away a loyal customer. It's particularly discouraging since he is capable of doing great work. Over the last few years, he's brought on lots of new help in his shop. I have no idea if that contributed to the lost suit. just an FYI.
