What percentage is due on Pre-Orders/Restocks? I know for GMTO 50% is due but I wasn't sure if full amount was required or not for items that will be restocked anyway. Thanks

Staring at that beautiful color of the brown grain 973's makes me realize I really want a wingtip version with a round toe. So, this color brown grain:

    In Model 80277 (Forest Last):

with a storm welt and danite soles, so the finished product looks like this (minus the tucked pants):

I would say it is the Islay since it appears to be grain.

Yup, it's the Islay. It sounds perfect, I'll think about it NewShoes.

I was actually planning to single mto that model but I couldn't find a color comparable to rosewood or mahogany. Carmina does nice hand finishing though and is willing to Burnish grain. How does forest last compare with eg 202? Is forest wider?

I would be up for the exact boot below (skoaktie has limited sizes in stock) or something close to it, but on a leather sole:

    Forest last
Brown Chromexcel, or something close to it. Not really a fan of pebble grain
    Natural sole edge
    Leather sole

Lol! Need to see it in person

I would be open to the shoe I linked but in the lighter brown that carmina offers vs the cxl. The dark brown is too dark for me

I'm all about the dark brown grain on this one. Those Rain 973's came out amazing!

My problem on this one is that I know too precisely what I want, which may make it tough to get six participants. I may have to go the solo MTO route or just pick up the Islay and hope it fits.

It seems like the sole type is the one spec that is OK to vary across GMTOs. If so, I'd be pretty into this idea on Dainite as a hardy winter boot. Well conditioned (or even Obenaufed) CXL is as good as it gets in heavy snow but you can still dress it up a bit. And the Forest last works well for us fat footers who need to order wide.
