That purple lining just broke my Internet. It's beyond glorious.

Sigh. If ever there was a first-world problem, it's that my shoes have no purple lining.

I'm only half-kidding   - that purple lining has caused me a serious case of shoe-envy. I can see a few toys being thrown out of my pram if I can't get it next time I place a deco order. ;)

@TtownMD, amigo! How about a Vintage Pine Connaught challenge - let's see if you can respond to this combo :slayer:

Question guys - I'm seriously considering to make a loafer (which is normally on KN14 last) on a TG73 last - I just think that the TG73 looks a lot sleeker.

Do you think this is a good idea? Would the KN14 be shaped differently around the heel vs. the TG73 for example?

I fit well in both (TG73 oxford or KN14 loafer) - but haven't really tried a loafer in TG73.

    Appreciate it!

I suspect the bigger worry would be whether the instep on the loafer last is lower than on the Oxford last, to compensate for the lack of tightening mechanism. If so, then you might find the switch disastrous.

No problem...I want it similar to the photos, and G&G seems to indicate the level of requested antiquing in a lot of its photos, so I want to at least request a higher level of polish and leave it to them. My current hatch grain is pretty flat compared to the photos posted.

    right here, for now
I have loafers on both lasts and find the heel cup only slightly more narrow on the TG (not enuff to obsess over)
personally, I don't think the slightly longer toe box and shape of the TG is really that much 'sleeker'
both lasts work well for loafers.

I finalized my order with G&G Savile row store.
Its the G&G Arran Boots in Chestnut Kudo on the Deco last with double wensum soles and Deco lasted lacquered shoe trees.

Very excited and now the wait begins :)

    Inspiration was from these pics:

Thank you sir :) and also excited to get my Oak Kudo Thorpes soon.
Past few days have seen amazing makeups of G&G Kudo on the thread and couldn't resist placing another order.

Hahaha, I meant you! No cool laces in your collection yet, only on pair of Connaughts for you so far - I'm sure you'll add both!

Now Kudu is only available as a Single MTO and not as a GMTO. This was confirmed to me earlier by skoak.
