Regarding the Foster and Son writing on the tongue, this is where they put the name of the person for whom the shoe is made on my bespoke shoes. I wonder were they made for a Mr B Manilow?

I see someone has already mentioned this- sorry.

It's a darker green than calf racing green.

I wondered if they were the Foster bespoke.

It would be so incredibly cool if they were Barry's! No way to know, though. Unless anyone knows if he's ~10.5D....

Foster thread appears to be locked.....

Cheers for paging me. Alas, I'm an E if not D width for G&G. Thorpes in E were too wide, and I'm experimenting right now whether going down a half size in length might remedy that. If not, I will end up in firm (single) MTO territory.

Thanks, but I just had a second look and realized it is GG06 last rather MH71, I may probably pass then.

I love the mitchell, especially on the deco last. I am considering this but in midnight blue. Any thoughts?

Wow you are right. I love them too but would adore them in some type of brown so the gator can really shine!!

No regrets. ;) I had mine darkened using G&G's patina service.

Nice! I forgot that you also have a pair in midnight blue! So did you have them do that when you ordered the pair or did you have it applied later on?

I am considering the patina service as well, but am thinking about getting them just with a darker burnished toe and heel first, and then doing my own polishing for a while. Then maybe I'd get a patina applied later down the road.

So I finally had the time to add the pics of my new St. James II in Pearl Grey on the MH71 last in my new extra narrow width! I took these inside on a light rug to help bring out more of the depth of color in the leather. Enjoy!!!

As you probably can see, my pair is darker than the pair that @Skoaktiebolaget posted. I like mine even more.

Just to help a bit more, here are three more pictures but in only natural light (I have multiple large windows in this room to let in plenty of natural light) in the same room so you can compare the difference between artificial and bright natural lighting on the same carpet.

Gorgeous shoes, thanks for posting these pics, mw313!. For me, envisioning G&G Pearl Grey in real life is difficult, and "civilian" and "in-the-wild" shots like these are useful for planning future purchases.

Blind eyelets on a hatch grain boot with storm welt on GG06 seems like an odd choice. The rest of the specs are far more rugged

Nice, now I am regret that I didn't join the gmto.
Always afraid that the pearl grey is too light.
