    Personally I like Ranger Mocs and Boat shoes from Rancourt. They're extremely casual and very comfortable. I have one pair of their loafers, but I'm not much of a loafer person. With one foot a half size bigger than the other this is a hard fit for me anyway. So I also haven't had any desires to get something like this from GG or EG either. I've been fairly lucky buying blind for the most part with a few from C&J, Vass and Alden. But I think I've stuck primarily with their more easier to fit Lasts when doing so.

    I've been buying mostly EG of late, but I've had an itch to get something a bit different lately. So I've been looking at a few GG models lately.

    I just ordered the MTO Arran Thorpe, I missed out on them last time and as this order comes with speed hooks perfect for me. I saw a pair in the G&G shop yesterday and they look fantastic. With EG boots I'm fine with an E after trying on shoes in G&G I went up to an F. Is this most people's experience that you would go up a width with G&G v EG? Cheers.

    Apparently G&G are discontinuing mahogany shoe trees. Why would that be? I am not a fan of the natural finished option.

    It's basically a hassle to stock several lines of shoe trees. We have five different colors. It's... challenging.

    I should clarify, I don't know if that's actually the reason, just speaking from my personal experience as a retailer.

    Good point, however I wasn't aware they offered anything but the one color?

    I mean, I see business wise why they would streamline their process. The staining and laquering of the mahagony trees is an unnecessary step for them, when they can be done with just the natural finish.

    I get it, but GG is killing me right now with their decisions and changes... :(

    The Warwick is a beautiful balmoral. Grail worthy I think, and best probably in DG70 or MH71...

    I'm really starting to hate my tablet.[IMG]

    Yeah, the more I look at this shoe the more I like it.

    That can be easily solved. Sell tablet then use the money to buy the shoes.

    Here's hoping one of these GMTO's that I like gets off the ground before the end of the month.

    Chances are looking slimmer however.

    I'd probably join you and others if it went thru as a GMTO and the mailman shoe did not.

    GMTO #5 G&G Mailman

    A GMTO (with no additional MTO surcharge) for the G&G Rothschild would be 7040 SEK ex VAT per pair and where G&G lasted shoe trees are 1200 SEK ex VAT extra.

    This price is only good until the end of February.

    Let's Get This Done Before it becomes even more expensive.

    Model : G&G Rothschild
    Last : MH71
    Soles : Ridgeway
    Welt: Storm
    Color : Chestnut Hatch Grain

    This is a winterized version of Gaziano & Girling's classic Rothschild oxford. With a storm welt and Ridgeway soles, it's tough enough to get you through rain, sleet, snow, and anything else that the season may throw your way. Made in beautiful chestnut hatch grain, it pairs well with blues and greys.

    Participants so far, for this GMTO:

    @dddrees (E)
    @CHRK33 (E)

    Expressed interest

    I saw antique gray in Bespoke England. I'm not sure if it's the same though.

    The color is so much lighter than this vintage gray

    I found this seems similar as well

    Curious, would anyone want to do a Lamport GMTO?
