    Thanks mate!

You know you could just contact GG and MTO the same thing? That way you wouldn't have to pay more than asking price! :)

Wanted to get a sense from you guys on fitting. I have a few pairs of G&G, all on MH71 last - some are in 6.5E and others in 6F.

Those in 6F are really quite painful during the break-in phase, and fit just a teeny bit short. This is more obvious when I walk, as opposed to a static fit. Those in 6.5E, on the other hand, are quite easy to break in, but fit slightly long. This is most obvious in a derby shoe (hove in this case), but much less obvious in oxfords. At saville row, Max determined that I was 6F.

Going forward, should I continue to switch between these 2 sizes, or is there one that makes more sense? I'm likely to mainly get MH71, though I may consider GG06 and TG73 when the right opportunity comes along. Thanks!!

Short is a bad choice. 6.5E is your choice. Shoes should be fine from day one, except for stiffness in leather and sole, but length and width should give freedom to move and feel comfortable.

Maybe you should try TG73 or the DG70 in 6F? They should be longer and provoke the volume?

If you do this let me know and I can pick up your 6.5E shoes. :)

The type of sox you wear also matters. I really don't like very thin hoses so the ones I wear add some volume to shoes.

This is so, so true, and I had no idea how much of an impact socks could have on fit.

It's down to millimeters and just trying a different brand could make a huge difference.

My feet aren't that long. Slightly over 25cm, slightly wide. From a static fit, I would say 6F is good.

And 6F and 6.5E don't differ that much in length. Maybe 0.4cm or so?

Thanks. That's possible but I like the MH71 shape :) My toes are still quite a distance from the tip, so don't think it's the length of MH71 shoes. Maybe I need 6G, but the proportions would look quite off.

Don't intend to let go my 6.5Es tho. They fit quite comfortably, especially the oxfords :)

Me too. Always with dress socks, currently using cotton sozzis.

Strands in green calf (used to be racing green, but "saturated" with navy blue cream and polish), deco last.

I am going to get my first pair of Gaziano & Girling but I don't have the luxury of physically trying them locally. Should I choose the same size as my Edward Green Dover in UK7.5 606 last? Have searched for the matter online but couldn't find anything.

    Thanks for any input :)

Get your 888/82 size would be safe.

G&G is going to fit a little snugger. Mr. Porter stocks now and you have free returns with them

I think going with your Edward green size is safe. I haven't found g&g to fit tighter than Edward green - actually I've found that my green is tighter (although it may be because it's a black cap toe & I rarely wear black shoes so I still haven't broken it in a year later).
