Down to 1.35 - a 10 year low. DOW futures are down nearly 4%. Global markets are panicking.

At least if you are non-UK, buying in a different currency than GBP. :)

The one consolation I have in this clusterfuck is that G&G is English.

Anyone have a pair of the Carlyle? That model in vintage chestnut has been on my mind lately. They have this as a stock model but I was thinking of asking for a little patina and silver buckles. Anyone have something similar?

Strongly recommend you ask for a last modification - "instep cone" in G&G parlance, although technical term has been discussed in the history of this thread by others much more learned that I - if you have a high instep. I do, and my deco shoes fit great.

For G&G it might not be a bad thing that the GBP drops as I believe their bulk ships outside the UK, meaning their buyers will buy at a lower rate. However, almost all their raw materials are bought from the EU, which will effect their margins. Also, their main bespoke guy Daniel is Swedish, and with Boris and Nigel wanting to throw "immigrants" out it might effect G&Gs bespoke side of the business. We currently don't know which kind of customs will be added to UK goods after the exit, for retailers in the EU. May we live in interesting times!

I don't think you will see any changes in the US retailer prices, but I might be wrong.
