Yeah, that would be a very risky thing to do...

Which is why I can't buy them online during the sale, I realised, sighhhhhh sucks, I am trying to determine what sizes they have in store (london) and head down there to try them out and buy them if they fit.

Some websites have diagrams of the last shapes goes G&G? Thanks for the info btw. And yeah I'd have to try them.

Didn't some people say that they might do models not shown? Anyways I am gonna visit G&G directly :) problem solved its only £100+ potential savings, it's a curry house dinner, not the end of the world, great if possible but seeing how I don't know what fits the point is moot.

Ugggh, I stumbled upon this thread last night with quite a few shots of Jameson in my system. Long story short, a pair of G&G St. James II is on it's way.

I just got a call from DHL stating my Taxes and Duties for a pair of C&J Ashdowns came to $216. Does this sound right for a pair of $500 pair of shoes from England?

Seems steep. At least for imports to Canada, DHL is one of the better carriers, charging 2.5% brokerage. I'm sure fees to the US are similar. I doubt your local taxes and duties make up the rest. Give them a call and ask for the breakdown.

    That seems way high.
I'd expect about 8.5% plus about $10 dhl brokerage fee.

Will echo that that number sounds insanely high.

Got a reply from Mark regarding the Rothschild in chestnut and St James II in another color.

Apparently, I will need to have both done up as MTO and the cost is 890GBP(before discount). Just a heads up to the rest!

In case you are between sizes 9 and 11.5, Leffot has Rothschild in Chestnut for $1125. If you are in US by the time you pay for shipping duties etc it comes about the same.

I am still waiting for reply from Mark. Any of you guys know how much is a shipping?

Whoa. To echo others, this sounds very steep! Anybody else in the US getting these outlandish rates?

20 GBP to anywhere outside of the UK.

Gents, I'm looking for recommendations for a dark brown plain captoe bal. I've emailed with Mark, who tells me that C&J Audleys are too backordered. I think the C&J Hallam might be a bit too elongated, although I'm willing to be convinced otherwise. I searched threads about the Londsdale, but it's hard to get a handle on what it really looks like. Any other ideas?

I should just get EG Chelseas, right?
