Heh, maybe. But in general this was a lot better than the last time CM / MC did this. Most of what was a vast improvement on any number of CM Casual fits IMHO, however there were perhaps too many cardigans - not that I dislike cardigans and some were very nice but they are a safe choice. I think that only EFV really stepped outside the comfort zone. [IMG]

I don't know if cardigans were necessarily the safe choice, it's probably just one of the few choices many of us had. I would have worn a trendy leather jacket that I have been wanting, if I ever bothered to buy it.

Cardis and knits are all over SWD. Its a signature SWD piece, safe choice or not.

Safe doesn't mean bad. On the contrary, the reason safe is safe is that you can be sure that a large number people will approve of it. Stitchy, yours was the classic example: very well-chosen pieces from solid brands, tastefully coordinated. Very nice indeed, and it fully deserves its votes. All I am saying is that most people, myself included, played it safe, took only a few steps away from CM starting points. Tirailleur, who's currently in the lead, and whose outfit was predictably excellent, was just doing what he normally does. Spoo is another exception, but I'm not really counting him, because he was just wearing costume (a pretty awesome costume, but costume nevertheless). EFV actually stepped much further away from where he started and yet its something that I could still imagine wearing and can appreciate its aesthetics. That's why I would argue that he did better than any of the rest of us.

I did wake to find that someone had used it as a skeet blanket the previous night. I had assumed that it was a Korean hobo, but I now I have reason to suspect it was one of you fine fellows.

Stitchy, Moo, GDL, NOBD and a couple others are wearing stuff I can totally see myself wearing.

Spoo and EFV are just Supafly.

Some of you really need to break in your jeans.

EFV gets credit for the effort but I'm not a fan of the result. Everything he's wearing is too tight and the pins and tshirt are just distracting. It would have been cool with just a white/black tee, jeans and coat. I like his shoes. Anyway, I voted Tirailleur cause he looks the most natural/the best.

Now I am starting to wonder if I should have entered knowing that I spend almost the same amount of time I'm swd as a I do in mc. I mean they use my pic as the banner for goodness sakes. (Which was actually quite controversial). I didn't think I had a chance of winning

I don't mind if you win if only from the point of view of the next challenge - I know you'll set something interesting!

Cheers, I don't think it's too tight. I hate it when I wear jeans that are wider, it doesn't compliment my frame particularly well. If anything I think the denim jacket could be pinched a bit in the sides. I don't wear denim like I wear suits, where I believe nothing should ever be tight.

Edit: I do believe T1 to be the winner though, I voted for him myself.

A lot of really solid fits this round, and not just from the crossover posters.
