You guys will get a kick out of this....I could have entered the challenge my senior year :). Let's see who recognizes the sneakers and can tell what year it was. The girl on my arm is still with me.

Are those the patent leather Jordans? If so, I 'm calling '97.

Haha...I'm youngish, but I've been married longer than most people that have 10-20 years on me....and that ages you quick!

I've been going back on forth on participating in one of these challenges, so I might as well jump in on one where looking ridiculous is almost a forgone conclusion.

I have something in mind that I'll attempt to wear outside my home tomorrow.

Okay, so file this under, "If at first you don't succeed..." I'm submitting an amended draft of my submission for the challenge after getting some helpful feedback from some of you and also realizing that some assumed my blazer/sport coat to be a worsted wool suit jacket. It is actually a cotton linen blend with horn buttons.

Other changes:
1. I added laces. I believe that it is a better look in this instance though going laceless is not wrong for these shoes. See the following link: http://www.sperry.com/en/striper-cv...M_color=1048032#cgid=men-shoes-casual&start=1
2. The madras tie blends well with the nantucket red chinos
3. I added a square.
4. I switched from an OCBD to a pinpoint oxford

Brooks Brothers Fitzgerald fit navy blazer (cotton/linen blend)
Kamakura pinpoint bd
Vintage Andover Shop tie
Tie Bar square
Allen Edmonds belt
Sperrry Striper CVO shoes

Really? You're surprised by this?
