I imagine many SF posters would have learned how to tie their bow sitting on their dad's knee at a young age.

It took me a long time to learn how to do it - my own father had no interest in such fripperies! I learned sitting with my tailor and friend using my thigh to practice. I could make a good bow like that but never around my neck - until I saw a video on the web. Henry Poole I think.

Even for a proper bow $250 is pretty steep eh?

The fabrics very rich and luxe. Still not worth it in my book.

As God said to the blonde when she bemoaned her fate at not winning the lottery, "Work with me on this - buy a ticket!". :satisfied:

Thanks so much! Just rushing off to a meeting - any ideas welcome. Pitti-related perhaps?

Thanks again, gentlemen. That was fun and some great bows in evidence. I am honoured.

I should also thank Mrs Knightley who bought me the bow, suggested I should wear it for the FC and who took the pics in the garden[IMG]

I'll put up a new Challenge later today.

Congrats on your win, Knightly. Well done Upr on a gallant run near the end. Very happy to have tied with AAS. So sorry to all the other entrants who were crushed by what I will call the "top tier" and conveniently cut off at 6 votes.

Thanks sir! I liked your bow very much - I note your good lady also picked yours. Could start a thread on influence of partners on our style??

    Well done to all!

    Anyway, NEW CHALLENGE IS UP:
