Thank god that fall off of your bike didn't mangle your shoes! Jeans got torn up pretty good though.

You need a size 7 in lanvin.

    I wear a

    9 / 9.5 US in nike
    9 / 42 in MMM
    8 / 41 in CP
    7 in Lanvin

I wear a 42-43 in CP I wear a UK9 in cap toes. Don't size down. If anything go tts or up 1. I never understood people telling someone else to size down. You want your toes to not have breathing room? Best bet is to go try them on yourself

The runners definitely fit smaller than the Cap Toes though.

    My sizing:
US10 in Nike (prefer a thumb's width of room)
42 in CP (could wear a 41 though if they weren't so narrow)
Lanvin (UK) 8 in cap toes, but have room in those
Lanvin (UK) 8 in runners and they fit perfectly.

Anyway, you might be good in a Lanvin 8 in the runners is what I'm saying.

US 9 = Lanvin 8. I have the exact pair you posted, and they do not fit an extra size large. Everybody seems to think you can size down for Lanvin shoes, but I'm a US 12 and I have never ever encountered a pair marked 10 that fit me (I've owned more than 15 pairs of Lanvins since 2010 or so, and they are all 11s), so it is 100% complete bullshit/myth as far as I'm concerned.

I'd be interested in hearing whether any of you guys have ever tried actually running in Lanvin (or other fashion labels') "running" sneakers?

I've had my eye on Lanvins for a while, but I'd want them to actually run in them, not just as a casual sneaker. Not sure if that's a good idea. I've been running in Kayanos for as long as I can remember. I doubt a designer-label product would be able to compete with a specialist running-shoe brand, but maybe I should try?

to be fair, if you're a 9 and taking a size 8, that's sizing down isn't it? i take a 8-9 normally, and am a lanvin 7 in cap toes, which are still a bit roomy. and to be honest, it really depends where you're getting your lanvins. if you're at the mall (barneys, bergdorf), they have often brought me US sizing 7 when i requested a "7" and was obviously a lanvin 6, so it didn't fit.

(For clarity:) Lanvin sizing is UK sizing, so I'm a 12 US and I buy size 11 Lanvin -- that is buying true to size. Sizing down would be buying Lanvin 10s (for me), and I've risked it twice but I ended up with two pairs of shoes I had to resell because they were too small.
