Sweater looks like the Uniqlo x Lemaire merino wool mock neck sweater. I own one in black and it looks familiar.

Got my first FG jacket yesterday. Initial impressions are that the calf is very thick and heavy and should break in quite nicely.

Edit - Will update with some better pics later this week. Really enjoying this thing! Way to go, Charly!

fit looks great. watch out, you're one step away from e-mailing charly saying hey can i use the same sizing for a new jacket thanks. Speaking of, I think I need a brown A2.

Would be very interested in hearing your thoughts on how the calf is after you break it in!

Why does everyone look so great in our jackets but I just look like a frumpy ass hoe in mine?

Thanks, guys. I'm pretty happy with the fit, but haven't had the chance to properly wear it yet. Will post some more pictures this weekend if I get the chance.

Charly - Your sizing advice was dead on. I'm especially glad I listened to you for the sleeve length - if I had went with my modification, it would have been too short. As the saying goes... listen to Charly.

Just crossed the 1 year mark on my black goat DR4. Definitely one my best-fitting jackets, and it gets better every time I wear it!

    Looks awesome, guys.

beepbop, how did you decide on the goat for your DR? How has it held up over the past year? I'm probably going to go with a DR for my next FG. Just need to decide on the style and the leather type.

That diesel blue calf suede that I've seen posted here and there is also seriously tempting...

Diesel blue suede is great... thick but very pliable and comfy. That being said, it's not nearly as versatile as black, so I'd probably get a black leather before a blue suede one.

Any plans of bringing back the whiskey calf or that old red you had, was almost a cherry colour? Please [IMG]

Was this a stock size? If so which one and what are your dimensions/weight?

Hmmm balmoral button boots with a t-shirt, cargo trousers and a MA-1? Classic chelseas are fine (see beepbop's Carminas above) but those boots are IMO way too dressy for the rest of the outfit.

I decided on goat because I wanted something a little more durable than lamb, since I'm not always the most mindful of what I'm bumping into or brushing up against, and I really loved the texture of the leather. As far as how it's held up, it has held up really wonderfully, and the leather gets more supple and comfortable with every wear.
