Here are some of the Drake's ties that are available in both an 8cm and 9cm (3.25" & 3.5") width. I still have another shipment coming at the end of September, so I expect to have the largest selection of Drake's ties in 2 widths that can be found.

There are some printed wool and foulards for the moment.

I'd go with 51, it'll look good with the wood and not show up dirt s much as the others.

And if they are still there in a couple of months (when I need socks), I will buy all five colors in small. Gorgeous socks.

I hope business is well for you, Shaya.

    Exquisite Trimmings Visits Adamley.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of paying a visit to the Adamley silk printing factory in Macclesfield. What a truly eye-opening experience. To see the process first hand is fantastic and you could never imagine the work that goes into making a simple print for a pocket square or tie.

The place is set back, away from the street, down a bumpy, muddy path (there is no phone signal there!), you get a real feel of being in the countryside, visiting an English heritage site.

More important than words are pictures...

A view of the first building you see when entering the compound

    The reception building

This is the room where the printing is done. It is massive!

This is a small section of the room that houses the plates. Each design requires it's own plate. There must be hundreds, if not thousands of plates in this room.

Example of a plate. This will be used from printing a scarf.

This is the room where they wash all the silk to prevent the colours running into each other.

The silk is run through this machine to soften it. Giving it the luxurious handle.

Some examples of the colours available

This is the room where they store all the pots of the different colours. There are endless possibilities as all colours are blended in house.

Some of the stock fabric that they have

Now to some examples of the fabric they print. You might notice some famous names....

This is where the plain coloured silk is stored, waiting to have designs printed on to it

A tiny portion of the pocket squares prints that they are able to make. The black books are some of the never ending archives

Some interesting pocket square patterns that they are starting to offer.. Some of which may be appearing in the webstore shortly [IMG]

Starting from Sunday evening we will be having an "Item(s) of the Week" - Basically, an item from the store that will be available, for one week only, at a special discount. Most items in the store are very limited stock so once they're gone, they're gone, especially at the prices we will be offering. Also, don't think this is an opportunity for me to just try and dump the things that don't sell.

For the launch on Sunday (time will be posted shortly) we will be having a very special item, or maybe a few. [IMG] Stay tuned....
