The quality and value of the belts is out of question, maybe just not the best period for all the european(EUR) customers to see the prices raised, seeing the current EUR exchange.
Less than one year and half ago, the price for a particular belt was 84 euros and now the same belt costs 130 euros [IMG] ( raising + exchange ),
but I admit that it was a very cheap price for such a good item.
It's good you've explained the reasons, because some customers just looking at your website might not understand. I also was a bit puzzled, like there was something wrong in my pc screen [IMG]

Yup - I appreciate the pain of those buying in €, the exchange rate against the £ isnt amazing at the moment and VAT isnt a help either. Sadly nothing we can do about that one, but remember theres a permanent 10% coupon for Style Forum member (SF10%) that helps a little though. Who knows what our forthcoming election will do to the rate!

Conversely you guys in the US have seen prices getting cheeper and cheeper over the last year or so because of the exchange rate, the joys of buying from abroad!

I mounted my recently acquired PAM 560 on the Metta Catherina strap I got from Charlie last year. I original got it for the PAM 312, but I think it works even better with the slightly thinner 560. The strap had been stored away for a few months as I cycle through various straps in my collection. I'm glad to have it back on a watch worthy of it.

Im glad its doing well :)

On a similar note I've just discovered an auction house that specialises in watches, my bank balance may never recover!

For watch straps too? Would be a nice "one strap" for those of us whose watch collection comprises a single item.

Theres no reason we couldnt make watch straps from it. They'd be reasonably chunky but not at all unworkably so. This photo is from a similar weight calf. I'll look at lighter weight St Crispin calf as well specifically for watch straps as well though

Charlie, great job on the Russet Rentetsu belt I just got. Do you recommend giving it some leather feed right away or does it matter?

    Glad you like it :)

It doesnt need feeding straight away, but it will benefit from being kept fed in the long run. I think the Sedgwick Leather feed is probably best for the Russet, it'll help it become more flexible and achieve a lovely rich colour.

    Thanks you, Charlie, looks great.

    I must go and order...

    ... some printer cartridges?

... yes, some printer cartridges, from Amazon, to provide an element of plausible deniability in case my wife gets the parcel first.

    That's a thought!

    Hi Guys,

Few more photos from yesterdays work. This is our Sedgwick Bridle Leather watch strap in Dark Havanna with Beige Lin Cable hand stitching with a polished finish RHD Deployant fitted. The straps are around 3.75mm thick at the watch tapering down to 2.3mm for the hole and point end of the strap so thick enough to have the heft for a good size automatic watch and last well but thin enough where necessary to be nice to live with.

Really nice! I need to find an excuse to reward myself with one of those.

Do you guys do a graduation discount? :D

I've never thought one needs an excuse to buy lovely things, it's an investment, right? :) Graduation sounds like a great excuse if you want an excuse though, something that'll last to commemorate the day!

Just placed an order for a red laced bridle with nickel west end. Fell in love with my sis's red bridle you guys made her. This would be my 4th Equus belt [IMG]

Hah, fair enough, but you'll have to take it up with Ede and Ravenscroft and their overpriced graduation robes as to where my "investment" funds went.
