I purchased the AS Radwell which uses Hatch Grain a couple of months ago.

I saw the Suede Chukas at Skoak but they only have two eyelets so decided to get the three eyelet from Epaulet.

Ah damn, didn't even realize it was 3-eyelet vs. 2. Oh well, looking forward to seeing how they turn out.

I would say stay the same at 9 UK, but I could be wrong. I'm the same size across the board except for the Simpson last. Obviously, YMMV.

How does the Oscar last fit in comparison to the Alden Barrie last? I don't think I can pass on the shell WWII boot but have no idea how to size it

I went up a half size from my Barrie size and found it to be just right. I am a 11.5D in Barrie and went with UK 11 in Oscar.

Same 10.5 Barrie 10UK Oscar. Length is about the same, oscar slightly narrower and lower instep

How long will the hatch-grain MTO be up ( I'd really prefer to wait 4-5 days so the purchase goes on my next credit card billing cycle)?

Ah yes, thanks for reminding me guys. I'll build that out tomorrow - it's definitely cool to have three variants of the WWII field boot.

Tan calfskin with Carmina is actually a little confusing.

When we order Caramel, it's called "Cuero." But when we order Cognac, it's the same base leather as quero, but it's hand-dyed for a darker finish by Carmina. This has a good bit of variance from batch to batch, so it will come out all different tones.

When I order Cognac calfskin, I call it Burnished Caramel or Burnished tan.

Oh man, I LOVE THAT. So a bit of an austerity U-tip? That sounds very cool.

We can certainly do individual pairs for you as well - it's a 30% upcharge though. If 5 more guys get onto the reorder then we can put it through at the group price.

Thanks guys! And thanks to applky for floating this idea - it's going to be a great makeup!

To be safe, I'd say yes. Forest and Soller are pretty similar in width, and Soller is a little lower in the toebox, so going up a half size will ensure that it's not too narrow. And since you've got three eyes, you can lace it tighter. You can always use a tongue pad too to tighten it up if you need to as well.

Most guys drop a half size from their Barrie last size, so if you take a 10D in Barrie, then get a 9.5UK in the Oscar.

Oh sure, you've got time. The orders will be open until July 8th.

Can we get a money flying away on little wings emoticon added by the mods? Seems like it would come in handy.

Edit: which is to say, very excited about burnished scotch grain WWII boot.

Awesome! I know Carmina is going to do their interpretation of the boot...do you think they will do a large punch like below?

Would you say the Soller Last has more or less room than the Rain Last in the toe box? Because I just may have to change the size I ordered.

Thanks -- also thinman helped me narrow down details via PM. The goal was the ultimate fall shoe.

A huge thanks is owed to James, who suggested the Soller-3-eyelet configuration and nudged the makeup along. Thanks man!

What are the key differences between the hatch grain and the scotch grain?
    - the color I'm sure.
    - is the hatch grain's grain just more subtle than the scotch grain's?
    - are they tanned differently?

^ Yeah, I think the 3-eyelet Soller config will make the chukka easy to dress up and down.
