I went back earlier in the thread and Mike stated that Epaulet would be getting the Rand and the Salinger in snuff suede. So it looks like a MTO is unnecessary.

^ Yeah, but you might have to wait months at a time for a restock. I missed out on the original shipment, and waited like...5 months or so.

Yeah, I've been watching the website, but wasn't sure a re-stock was in Mike's plans. I've been looking around for several years, so 5 months more isn't a problem for me. It'll give me a chance to save my pennies (assuming something else doesn't come along in the interim to drain my bank account).

Yea restock is tough because there's always hype to get it for those that are anxiously waiting for it. Are we still going forward with the boot or loafer?

Also for mike any updates on the jodhpurs?

I would love to do a loafer MTO but haven't received any responses...probably wouldn't arrive till mid summer if we order before end of the month.

Another vote for the boot on the Forest last, which gives you the option of wearing thicker socks.

Looks like we're pretty dead-set on Forest for the Terracotta boot. Just based on comments about the last, we've got six people interested, and a few others who were chatting about the boot a bit earlier in the thread, so we should be good to go.

    -Terracotta Lama
-Punching on the toecap but NOT all along the upper
    -Forest last
    -Leather sole

    Sound about right?

I'd prefer no punching whatsoever, but mob rule may dictate otherwise.

Yeah, me too; that was settled at the very beginning. No idea where the no punching is coming from, seeing as that's basically a different boot.

I voiced my opinion on this earlier, as did Sridhar. I was going to go along with whatever the group wanted because the addition of punching wasn't going to make me miss out on such an awesome boot. For what it's worth though, I disagree with the idea that removing the punching fundamentally alters the nature of the boot. I can't picture a scenario in which I'd wear one boot and not the other.

Generally Carmina doesn't allow changes in a existing model. I don't know if Epaulet can make that happen but check this before people sign up for a boot that might be impossible to get.

I don't think people were wanting to. Plus changing to no punching just makes it a cap toe boot.

English is not my native language but I get the impression that the group want to change the existing design.

Isn't there a boot with punching on the "shaft" (don't know the English term)? Maybe there's a mix up between the two.

I leave that to the people buying the boot, I'm out since the chance of color :)
