I'd say wear them around the house a bit just to see if you notice any difference. If they're too snug in the seat, I would definitely just get it let out a bit. I know Mike has had to do this on countless pairs of pants to convert from Walt to Rudy, so you shouldn't have a problem.

Hey Mike/Matt, any chance of doing a special order of the Navy Windowpane Linen trouser as a Rudy?

I've been seeing a lot of blue suede from Alden lately, and a couple different places were offering chukkas, but none of them had anything other than stock D sizes...maybe a few E widths out there, but nothing in a narrow size. But, there are enough pairs out there so it's doubtful I'll be able to drum up interest from enough SFers to get a special order going. I'm going to try anyway so we'll see what happens!

Photo with the winning trousers may be even better than the trouser winning photo.

If I can swing it, I would love a blue chukka.

I went to the site to purchase the seersucker shirt in XL, but it's already sold out. Any chance for a restock?

    Mike,

Do you have plans on making some wild trousers? Something like those trousers SVB wore in his picture several pages back?

What I'd love to see is a pair of those navy and brick shorts as full-length trousers. I can see why they come as shorts, because the busy pattern is more accessible on a smaller piece. Still, I think they'd make for a great larger piece for those with more confidence—which I see building slowly among the Epaulet clientele.

Hey, maybe she'd like it so much that she'd drop her drawers.

    Spectacular.

Love those tankers. For whatever reason, they look like cigar in this pic. Any chance of seeing the outfit from the z axis?

    I'd aid and abet.

Ah, I wish that we could. All of the Linen Windowpane was cut for that limited run of Walts.

Every fabric that we have available is presently accounted for in the Rudy special order section. Thanks to everyone who ordered so far!

    Whoa, those boots look boss!

Another freaking awesome pic! Potentially even better than the winning photo! I just tumbl'd the ass out of that.

And if I lived in LA I would buy your car in a heartbeat.

Yup, we should get a restock of that in about 4-5 weeks. We'll carry that through the Summer.

Haha, you've already snagged the wildest trousers that we're doing this season!

We don't have anything in the way of plaid patterns for Spring, but I could take a special order on our Madras shorts as a trouser. They'll be a little pricey as we have to match up the fabrics, and could take up to six weeks or so. I'd put them at about $185. But if you guys are interested then hit me up.

I also have a limited stock of highlighter yellow sanded canvas. Same fabric as the Butterscotch and Olive, just in the brightest possible shade of yellow. I can post as a swatch next week. We can easily take special orders on that. I've got Cherry Red sanded canvas too.

    Mike-
Is it still possible to get a special order of the Cherry Red cords?

I'm tempted by this. After I pick up my pants from the trousers this week from my altering lady, it's going to be on. I'm pretty happy I picked up the awning pants. I tried them on yesterday with the Chelsea Boots and I thought they looked awesome together. Just gotta wait for the weather to warm up a bit. :slayer:

What's the weight on the Madras material, Mike? I just saw the pattern and man, I'm tempted.

    If they're light, I'm in.

Ah sorry, we had zilcho takers on the Cherry Red cord special order, so I released the fabric. But we'll have the cherry red sanded canvas available for order. It's almost the same color, and it's a lighter weight that's going to be better for the Spring/Summer.

Oh man, Awning stripes and Chelsea boots are basically my dream come freaking true. Those are going to be so boss together!

The madras is pretty light weight. I couldn't tell you the exact weight in oz, but it's definitely late Spring to late Summer appropriate. It takes some cojones to pull off Madras trousers, but I think you could swing them :)
