    Southwick Factory Finds

Big thanks to Dbear for calling this out. Tomorrow, we're going to present our second round of Southwick factory finds. We've got 26 fabrics to choose from in total. If you're not familiar with this program, then here's the overview:

    1. I work with Southwick to get a limited stock of off-price fabrics. These are leftover goods from past production runs, and typically between 4 and 12 units can be made in each fabric.
    2. We scan the swatches and put the fabrics online for preorder. They'll be up for a few weeks, or until they sell out - whichever comes first.
    3. You can choose your size and length, but the shape is determined by us. All of the jackets have to be made the same way.
    4. We get a discount off the cost, and we pass along a big discount to you. Every one of these jackets is $475. Most of them come from the higher tiers of Southwick's assortment, as they don't tend to keep the cheaper stuff kicking around. Normal retail for many of these fabrics would be $850 and up. The wool-cashmeres would easily go over $1000.
    5. We submit the order according to what's purchased, and the jackets will be delivered around early October (we have Sept-Nov to be safe). Right in time for the height of the Fall season

Feel free to ask us any questions that you have on the fabrics. We pre-edited what we were presented, so you can rest assured that each cloth here is excellent quality and "Epaulet Approved".

Here's the link to see everything. We'll add in new fabrics throughout the day until all 26 are online.

Are the S/S fabrics gone? I was interested in the grape tartan, but didn't have the funds right now.

Yes, they're largely sold out, and with the lead time, you'd only have it around the end of July. But if you're interested in it, drop us an email when you're ready, we can check and see if there's still some availability.

Awesome on the FF Mike...what a great opportunity. Question, the Daltry model, is that with a welt breast or patch breast pocket. Thank god I'm working a week this summer to fund one or two of these...

I'm not seeing the swatch for the FF navy windowpane Napoli. Is it on its way?

IIRC matching pants may be possible for some of these FF fabrics?

Ah, at this point we've probably got all of our summer shirts in. From now until mid-August will most likely just be restocks of basics - I'm not sure if we have anything new coming on top of that.

Yes, sorry for the confusion on these names. Here's the breakdown:

Weller: Constructed shoulder, inset pockets with flaps at the hip, breast welt, full liner
Daltrey: Constructed shoulder, patch with flap pockets at the hip, breast patch, full liner
Napoli: Unconstructed shoulder, open patch at the hip, breast welt, 3/8 liner

All of them have double vented backs.

Ah, I think that was a copy and paste thing while Dylan is building out the styles. The navy windowpane was last season. We've got a lot of Napoli options though - I think 11 of them. Should all be active tonight.

Yes actually. You can order a Southwick-made pant in the Walt fit.

Now, the pricing is a little weird because the pant has to be made as a one-off while the jacket is made as part of a group. Because of the way Southwick's factory is set up (they're not really a trouser house), the one is significantly more expensive. Looking at the pricing, a matching pant would be $350. But, with the jacket at $475, you're still getting a banging suit for $825, so the total price works.

If you guys want a matching trouser, then I'd advise this:
    1. Buy TWO units of the Factory Find jacket
    2. Send us an email with your order number and your trouser size - advise that you want a suit
    3. We'll refund the $125 difference between the jacket and the pant, and send you a confirmation. Both pieces will then be put into work

Ah, okay. That explains why the swatches and descriptions of the ones toward the bottom of the page don't all match (yet).

Holy smoke, the FF are nice!

I need size help. I wear J -Crew Ludlow sport coat in size 38 SHORT (a nice fit). What size would I be in the Daltrey Houndstooth?

    Thank you.

    hey Mike,

if the Marcello fit me well in a 40, should I go with a 38 for Southwick jackets?

Mike, quick question on fabric weights of the:

    Greycast Cocoa Wool/Cashmere
    Cream/Goldenrod Wool/Cashmere Tattersall
    Clay-Tobacco Large Houndstooth
    Sand with French Blue Windowpane
Rust and Pale Blue Exploded Check

Or, all of them if you've got time :)

Trying to decide based upon what's in the closet now...

Can anyone provide shoulder measurements for a 38 measured across the back, as opposed to the front?

Go back thru the thread, someone got that jacket. I think that fabric was offered last time around, too.

Think that jacket was part of the last round too maybe somebody has pictures? So many nice fabrics but most are a bit too heavyweight for me :freeze:

Same here....some of these are looking really really nice, but I'm afraid they might all be too heavy for my climate down here. I might be better off waiting until winter when they offer some lightweight options that would be delivered next spring.

I'm really digging the snuff micro-houndstooth - how warm would that actually wear IRL? Being in the Napoli fit with the 3/8 liner, maybe it's actually light enough to wear in Florida?
