I thought about it but it is the same last, color and toe (i.e. no cap or medallion) as my Newbury. I got these instead:
    - SOUTHWOLD DARK OAK 888
    - INVERNESS BURGUNDY 888

Outstanding choices G!! I grabbed the dark oak Southwold too and gave serious consideration to the Inverness in burgundy but opted for the Gladstone instead.

Can anyone post a description or picture of the Knightsbridge loafer? I didn't find it on the Sky Valet site.

I haven't gotten a response to my e-mail for a size request. Anything I can do to urge them along?

It's killing me to sit this one out, but it's comforting that the two specific styles/colors I wanted weren't available in my size.

You can call or email with your name/address/credit card info. I've ordered twice from them and did it via email each time. They might have closed for the day by now.

meanwhile, I strolled today to Saks (main store) during my lunch hour and got the Westminster (double monk) in dark oak for $540 (60% of original price). I'm displaying them proudly on my desk so that anyone who comes to my office cannot miss them...

I'm sure they'll make a nice paper weight.

It's EG's new line of leather desk accessories. Can also be used as container for paper clips.

Dang it. Westminster in 888 are the shoes that I wanted ..
Do they still have them or did you grab a last pair?

    Thanks

Is it just me or are there a lot of Gladstone Burgundy shoes? Anyone prefer this plain toe model?

At least in 9.5 they were the only pair. Funny thing, I saw them 2 weeks ago when Saks had the first cut sale, and didn't really expect to see them there today.

Other EGs in 9.5 were a semi-brogue captoe in dark oak on 888 and a monk with Norwegian toe (Dover-style) on 606 in I believe chestnut (and slightly more expensive).

C&A, I just got it, but my blackberry won't open the attachment for some reason. I'll post ASAP when I get to a real computer and get a chance.

    I'm a bad boy...

Add this to the dark oak Southwold and the burgundy Gladstone

DOVER COFFEE SUEDE 606 (THAMES RUBBER SOLE)

    Now that's really it.

See, you are good to be loading up on the rubber soles. This summer has been so rainy so far, I've really decided that there's a void in my closet.
